    I don't think the nuke would be overpowered... considering pre1.0 they had something called a "hivegun" (still in your NS directory)... sounds pretty bad-**** to me!

    Also, with the progress bars, way back in 1.04 I suggested they change them to look more alien-like. I even went as far as comparing gestating to looking like Windows!!! (*gasp*) <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Yeah, NS has jumped leaps and bounds and it really is amazing. The community's changed a lot too, cant say it's for the better though :/

    if you dig around in the ns entity definitions for 3.0F, you can still find the nuke entity, im pretty sure the code is still there, just the ns team did something to disable it, because my jerry-rigging was unable to get the nuke to work without causing the server to crash. maybe someone will have better luck than me?

    also found babblers down in there, but its just labels, all the code is gone.

    From english_titles.txt, and it looks like the devs got around to making an autohelp for it, but no actual nuke. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> I do believe I've seen the nuke death sprite before though.

    Iunno, I dont remember seeing much nuke usage back when I was playing.. or maybe it was because I was a total idiot in early NS. Although I know it was cool.

    There's quite a few here I don't remember seeing posted before. From what I'm seeing, some of the scrapped ideas seem too reptilian to fit the mammalian looks of the Kharaa, so I can see why they've since changed.

    Hmm...a guy with some free time to be imaginative could make quite a fan fiction work regarding these now-unused concepts...

    I remember playing a game where somebody put down a nuke and it beeped and counted down for 30 seconds and when it exploded it ended the level... i think it must have been an admin plugin because the game had gone on for a hour and was getting nowhere really.

    We finally convinced him to shut it off with 4 seconds left :-P
