[edit]To elaborate somewhat: people get stressed when they're under pressure, even if they're coping with the pressure. When faced with a situation they <i>can't</i> deal with, people <i>panic</i>, not stress. Stress is when the pressure's on to get it right with limited margin for error, exacerbated by uncertainty, lack of confidence, etc.
While we're at it, there are lots of reasons to be worried about the outcome of a test other than intelligence: [male cow excrement] or ambiguously worded questions, time management (on the part of the examiner or examinee), not having studied enough (which could in turn be due to any number of factors), etc.[/edit]
