Obviously Liku. To take the comment literally would mean that Sony hasn't made any PS2 games either because they aren't developed in house.

And it is sooo worth owning the system just for that one game. It's one of the top 10 games I have ever played in my life.

I'm glad to hear of the Ninja Gaiden Black thing... I'll have to hold off a while longer (but that'll please the wife ) and I can get the hurricane packs in one nice spiffy package. Woo!

To those going on about the specs and how much it costs, are you aware console makers make a loss on the actual console ?

No, Mircosoft does. Other companies don't. They don't make much, but they certainly don't lose money.

Actually no, every console maker loses money on the console itself. Its been that way as far back as the original NES, perhaps even farther. The real money is made from the liscenses.

    yup doomeh is right :3

The only reason a fuss has been made about sony and especially microsoft is how much they've been willing to lose per unit compared to sega/ninty in the past just to help shift them :o

I highly doubt microsoft will add support for quicktimes.

I'm going to wait for the PS3 however long it takes, if everything i've heard about the Cell is true, it's going to totally blow anything microsoft can come up with out of the water. Plus backwards compatability is always nice.

Well, I for one am looking forward to it.

Why do all 3 new console systems have to suck?

Xbox 360 is trying to do way to much in the confines of such a small space (as well as having wireless controllers - gee, I always wanted to buy batteries...) enclosing uselss features I'll never use along with no touted backward compatibility make a console that's rentable at best (along with the unincluded HDD, meaning it can no longer be utilized to speed game loading times or spool data).

And finally: please explain to me why I'd want a controller I could crush with my thumb and looks like a glorified Dreamcast controller (bah, the tips of my fingers are tightening up just thinking about that tiny little hand hold). Why don't they just rip off the Dual Shock controller like we all know they want to and get it over with (that might be a bit too small as well, but not everyone gets to have the normal sized hands ).

Pfffft, then they'll think "Halo 3 will be our launch title, and everyone will buy it...mwhahahaha....haha"....but then they'll all just rent a console and the game.

They have such a good premise, but they keep destroying it with things like...mandatory Xbox live support and non-existant backward compatability (and the OXM can go to hell with there "I don't want a console limited by the former generation" BS). Just let people put a game in the thing and play...

It's pretty apparent the controller is just the Xbox S one (i.e. the best console one there is, shush naysayers) with more sensible button placement: the rubbish black and white buttons becoming shoulder triggers and start/select being relocated to a more sensible position.

When one of the launch titles is Project Gotham Racing 3, the prequel to which I've had some of the best online gaming on, I'm sold.

Backward compatibility is not going to be implemented.

    Reason?

The leap from Xbox to the Xbox 360 is a lot greater than the leap from PS to PS2. Since the Xbox 360 has dual core and 64 bit processors, many complications will arise when running a game not programmed specifically for that design.

Oh thatnk God, the controller isn't big and akward...whats with the white scheme though? I kinda like it, but still.

I'm pretty damn sure that only Microsoft loses money on the console system itself.

That picture was a prototype, it's probably not a finalized design.

I doubt the revolution will have higher specs than the PS3/Xbox360, because that isn't Ninty's way, innovation > power.

I'll be buying the Revolution myself, because i'm a ninty fanboy. and i couldn't live with a console that doesn't have Zelda

I call BS on the specs of all the next-gen consoles, remember how the PS2 was hyped, and wasn't as powerful as they said it was? (at least i think that's what happened )
