They may not like what you are doing in life but you are still able to live at home, you still see them and they still love you. I'd call that support.

Just so people know...its not that I dont appreciate what my parents do for me (shoot, my dad calls all the time, checking on me, and pitching in for what he can...I am so grateful of that he does this.) but the fact that she went below the belt like that.

We never said anything when she decided to go back to school, when she tried to start her own business (by using family resources), when she was repeatedly changing jobs, or when she started doing art. Yea, it was hard for us, but we still got through it as a family.

I am not just mad because they won't help with the insurance. I don't mind working for paying for the insurance. In fact, I work many low end, less than minimum wage jobs besides my teaching gigs to assist in paying for things like insurance. The only thing I am mad about is the comment she said.

And Swiftspear, the reason I have a nice car now is because it will be my last car for a long time. I saved up money for a long time to by me a nice car. I don't give a damn about what they do with their money.

Anyway, he's right, they did create you, they have a responsibility to help you to the best of their ability in life.

b/c being a super rich musican, travelling around the world in your own jet, having your music featured in seveal major motion pictures, and having an international fan base like Paul Oakenfold, ATB, DJ Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, John Digweed and many many many more isnt enough

but hey, when you do write the score for the next disney movie you can drive by in your new BMW and laugh.

on a more serious note, what exactly do you want to do as a concert muscian? or is that self explanitory?

Actually, my main focus is on education, because I feel teaching is the best career in the world. In my opinion, music makes the world a better place, and if everyone knew how to play an instrument, they could vent ander, hate, and other emotions in a productive and safe way.

The performance part would come later, after I become settled in my teaching lifestyle. If I was to play, I probably wouldn't be in a big name symphony, like Chicago , London, or whatever, but I would just want to play. I just enjoy playing my horn...so as long as I am doing so, I will be happy.

My mom decided the best way to get me motivated to do my computer based Graphic Design course was to ban me from the computer. Nice.

And i wouldn't be angry about the insurance so much anyways, its just comments like that which stick with you for life, whether you believe them or not....
