I want to know what the obsession is with putting consoles in vertical stands. It makes me want to crane my head sideways while staring at the picture. None of my TV stands have ever had a spot that could hold a console that was vertical like that, it just looks wrong to me. Put the bottom on the ground where it belongs.
Edit: Also, quoting things for truth is the most annoying trend of all time. Seems like as soon as Something Awful gets sick of a trend, it pops up all over the Internet.
That is hideous. Is it just me, or are they TRYING to make these things obtuse and impossible to fit into the electronics cabinet? It's ridiculous. I don't want some ugle Apple-product ripoff sitting in front of my TV, I want it tucked between the DVD player and cable box in a discreet, non-shiny black color.
BTW, I hate the look of Apple products. That's one of the many reasons I got an iRiver when all my friends were demanding that I buy an iPod for some reason.
costum face plates? I think costom CASES would be better. So far I have hated every picture whether faked/rumor/real of every next-gen console. It's a good thing I'm not buying any of them anyway.
edit: no, I'm not just a die-hard PC fanboi. It's just that all my friends will enevitably have one of each. Split screen multiplayer is the only thing I enjoy about consoles anyway.

Fashion yet again ruins usefullness. A practical design from a cooling point of view(if it's easier to cool you can minimize fan noise), that is also nicely stackable and doesn't scream "LORK AT MEH!!!11111" is much better.
If you couldn't care less, it is impossible to care less, either because you don't care at all, OR because you actually care so much about it, caring less would be unthinkable.
If you could care less, that means you care some, but your point of view is so passive that caring less wouldn't change anything. However, it could also mean that you care so much that it is best for you to care less (as in I could stop playing NS, but I don't)

Hold one and you shall see the absolute awesomeness that is this controller. All the best parts of each - mixes the xbox triggers with the ps2 shoulder buttons (losing the black/white awkwardness), goes wireless like the wavebird (and seems a little closer to that size maybe), and has the kickin layout of the S controller. I can't freakin' wait to start playing with this.

I liked the original Xbox design. It came in 2nd after the PS2, which you could slot in just about anywhere. The GameCube was horrid because it's a square, it should've been flatter and not opened from the top.
The new design, though, doesn't look as versatile and it just looks ugly. It's like an Apple computer, only worse, because you don't put Apple computers in entertainment systems, and they at least have the excuse of saying "LOOK WHAT A FREE SPIRIT WE ARE!" when they design these ugly simplistic white plastic things.

I didn't like the first Xbox design, but this one isn't that bad. I'm not fan of it, but it's not this massive chunk of plastic with a green circle in the middle.
