Which Mil. Branch Is Better?

Marine or Army
So yeah apparently I'm going to fail out of college, not because I can't handle it, but because attendance issues (too bad the final grade wasn't based soley upon tests ). After each vacation i go to less and less class. Now I have to decide what to do, I won't be able to live at home much longer cause my parents are gonna go psycho if I fail and I can't deal with it much longer and I don't want to move out based on a Walmart or McDonalds paycheck. My question is which branch of the military is better the marines or the army? I've been looking into it a little but I really don't want to talk to a recruiter right off who will say anything to get me to sign up. Do you have to be able to swim WELL to be in the marines, other than that what's the major differences. Which one gets better pay?

It makes sense.
Stop laughing at little people on the ground when they pack Stingers.
Bomb them instead.
you dont have to be a good swimmer to be in the navy. just dont fall off the ship

QFT.
You think the Navy makes you swim? You stay on a ship, and so ship things. You won't be swiming, this isn't the Olympics here.

Yes! Yes! The Air Force is by far the coolest. If you get to fly, that is.
At least in those branches, you'll have less hate-filled dorks with their heads stuck up their ***es and an ego strong enough to lift weights for the bloody Marine. (Note: Not every Marine is like this, but the proportion of dorks:cool people is much higher. Unless you're in the marines too, then they love you.)
Both are pretty hardcore when it comes to bootcamp too, you might want to check on that. I'd join the marines personally, but ugh that bootcamp D:
While yelling at you, but you get the basics.
Not to mention the g-forces.
Lawl, 5 min quarter mile. If you failed that you shouldnt of even though of applying for a physical job. I do on average a quarter mile in under a min and im 16 at 18-25 you dam better be able to out run me.
Seriously, I heard that modern wand-wavers have a higher rate of attrition than the pilots themselves.
Last time I tried, I got 1:18. That was in phys. ed.

Wand waving isnt hard or exspensive. Driving planes is.
So if you want a relatively easy job--go Army, or Air Force. Much less demanding in either of those than the Marines. The Navy will make you swim an awful lot in practices, even if you never have to swim while actually on the job, so probably not for you. But if you can be a Marine and make it through training, you're set for life. Yes, Marines may have higher attrition rates than the Army percentage-wise, but its still pretty low overall. And you get free medical care, and you'll be one of the world's best.
Of course, Marines are crazy. Take that how you will...
That being said, I highly respect our men and women in uniform.
Pretty much what happens at my school to the recruiters
