So many things impressed me, but there's also two things that are my personal hates for games.
1) I like a game with a good story, ok, maybe it's far more restricting than a completely open game like Spore, but to me it's a crucial part for a game's enjoyment for me.
2) Lack of direction. Whilst i don't want to be patronised and spoonfed by the game, at least some direction rather than "making your own stories and fun" should be there, which seems entirely absent from that video.
That and he talks about having a very easily pick-up-and-play, shallow experience, that might be good for people that enjoyed The Sims, but to me it just makes an incredibly forgettable game that i'll probably not go back to after i put it down the first few times.

Esuna, you do realize that it is because you are an uncreative dullard that you can't find enjoyment in will wright's games? -_^
honestly, any person who did not salivate at that video has something wrong with them, and must be purged from society
**edit** somehow i feel empty now that i'm not watching the demo clip. that was the best hour of my life and it's gone and it's not coming back :'(

I can definitely see how amazing this new technology is, but sometimes a games open-endidness (is that a word?) can kill it. For example, i played and enjoyed the sims - for a while. Within a week, i was just bored of it. I had played about with it and tried loads of things, but there was nothing to follow. I had the same problem with black and white - It felt too much like a sandbox with too little stringing it all together.
I will undoubtedly buy this game, and i will undoubtedly enjoy it. However, having a simple story to follow would probably make it much more fun to me. I can set my own targets and objectives, but the game would be so much simpler if it gave you some breadcrumbs to follow.

What I want to know is, when you're in the city stage or farther. Can you choose to go back, sort of "zoom back in" and play as a single unit again? Then zoom out back to your spaceship or such.
Wow... I'm getting this when it comes out.

It'll be a hard battle between diehard fans of this game and diehard fans of B&W2.
On a side note, Will Wright is actually... funny? The Carebears bit was good.
