Physx Ppu

Next gen hardware?
Physx is like a CPU or GPU but named PPU, it calkylates all the physics leaving less strain on the GPU.
So much more realistic crashes they can make with this. Planes fall apart rather then just go boom.

The thought of having a completely new set of hardware just kinda turns us poor people off. Plus the shooting and plane parts didnt feel so revolutionary at all.
Liquids and particles on the other hand were utterly amasing.
CPU + GPU + PPU = lots of money, lots of energy, lots of heat.

I say just wait until we see more duel-core cpus. One core for the normal game stuff, the other core for physics.
I seem to remember talk of a card to handle the crunching of running NPC AI being considered :o
Edit:
I should add that, currently, sound is mainly produced from stock samples. A PPU would help produce sound "on-the-fly," especially taking advantage of an area's unique sound characteristics.

Mixed with CPU?
Silly, that's what we do now
That's a step backwards
but are the games still fun?
Physics -> Graphics -> LIGHT(Real time raytracing) -> Sound(Sound card) -> CPU(Everything else)

Agreed.
(Your wallet = Pwned)
mmmh, fluid dynamics.... and i thought i was content with bump mapping.
need... more.. realistic... game experiences....
You better have a clone frozen down somewhere then. Heck even if you do it might fail.
why would she need a clone? i thought she was the immortal mistress of the night or some such thing.

We have a winner. :-)
You have the magical eyes that see through the illusions cast by those who try to fool your eyes. :-)
Edit: Is that correct grammar? I know it's "there are pills...", but can you use "there's" for that anyway? Is there another way to shorten "there are"?
There's pills for that, you know

Grammar question, ftw.
That is not a grammatically correct sentence.
It should read "there are", for "there is" does not work with the plural form of "pills".
If you wish to use "there's" then you would need to change the sentence like so below.
"There's a pill for that, you know."
There is contraction for "there are."

No, "there're" is not proper.
