My only gripe at the moment is with the planes. They are great fun to use, and great for shooting down other planes/the odd helicopter who doesn't know how to use flares, but that is about it. Even with the two seat russian plane, i havn't been able to really do anything to groudn targets. I remember reading somewhere about 'painting' a target for a friendly aircraft. Can you still do that, or is there another trick to killing ground units that i have yet to find?

I played a game last night with an amazing plane pilot.

As soon as the game started, all of our equipment was dead to his bombs. We never got to use artillery, UAV, or scan like... ever. It was nuts, the guy could even hit a single soldier with a bomb out of the air.

Only fun thing I've done so far is sneak onto the aircraft carrier, get into one of the hawk's Miniguns, and wipe out the 10 or so people who were just waiting for a plane to spawn. Good times

That and have a sniping contest with a guy on the crane while I was on that high building (that you can jump off into the swimming pool from). That was very fun indeed.

    its in order

Total (your total number of ending points, the one with most of these was the best player)

Support (like healing, reviving, giving ammo, ect.

    kills (guess)

    deaths (guess)

as for the game, I LOVE THE BLACK HAWK, i love it when theres like 5 people in it, or when you pick someone up (i can land on the hotel ) i also love it when you got a gunner in it and circle around a base and he just own everybody down there. BUT I HATE THE AA, ITS SO flipping OVERPOWERED AGAINST THE FAT, SLOW BLACK HAWK I CANT GET AWAY ARGH!

me and my daddy (yes daddy) have our little mini team with me piloting and him blasting away, i rox at piloting

    my ingame name is buller

Aye, i'm going to have to take that point back.

Just had an amazing game that i spent completely in a mig, bombing the hell out of anything. I lost count of the number of lone tanks i bombed, let alone groups of infantry. I've now seen quite a few other guys do the same, and this was in a mig! I can't imagine how powerful a good pilot would be in the russian bomber.

If you want to stop a bomber, get in a plane and target him. I can guarantee you that he will pull out as soon as he hears the 'beeeeeeep' and take evasive action.

That or they throw their flares. Lot of times I just lock on and wait for them to toss the flares. Then I just lock on again and get a rocket or 2 in.

What I love now are the APCs from the MEC point of view. Fill one of these up with your squad then drive to the ship. They go on the water . You have to be careful of the Turret on the ship. That thing owns.

i just played on it for a while against like 1 or 2 other dudes. it was great when i was screwing around on the big long bridge planting charges, and then i see 2 dudes driving a jeep down it shooting at me, i panic and blow the bridge. the dust clears and the 2 dudes are in the water. i step too close and fall in the bridge hole, then speedswim to the side just in time to pull out my gun and kill them both.

Bridgeblowing is my speciality - For the mission, or random leveling of watercross'. It's me.

chaffs are strips of aluminium foil, dropped in a huge ammount to confuse radar guided missiles.

flares are..are exactly what they called...used as countermeasure against IR guided missiles...

almost all military aircraft carry containers with both of those.

but not in bf2, there are only flares

Bah, remind me never to go commander again... I just dropped an artillery strike on top of a group of 5 friendlies and got a lot of haet

In my defence, there WERE three enemies there when I launched the strike.

The default non-inverted fly controls threw me off. Crashed both our team planes cause of that.

The NSA server needs FF on. Artillery strikes lose all disadvantages. Just throw one on top of your advancing forces and you are good to go.
Spawn times imo need to be increased too. I killed the same guy 3-4 times in a row before he got me.
