When i have some money collected, i will ask you wich card i should buy.

Fear is an ALRIGHT game, don't expect too mutch from it. I would say the high points are its graphics and melee system. You can holster your weapon and go around and Effectively (wow a good melee system) take out people using firearms. If you try this: Press the H key, and I know a few good combos, do a 360 spin and kick (right click), while running duck and press kick (slide kick, 1 hit kill.. sometimes 2.) or jump and kick (1 hit kill, flying kick to the head). The other high point would be the graphics so far, very nice concussion wave effects, player models need some work but hey, its only beta. The other nice thing, is right off the bat you will feel like your in a matrix movie when you start to fight. Chucks of walls and stuff will fly all over when you hit them. The bad things would probably be that there are so few weapons.
You've got your sniper rifle, smg, shotgun, assault rifle, dual pistols, and my personal favorite the nailgun (slower but powerful, can pin people to walls if you hit them right).
Those are ALL the weapons... not much it you ask me.
And there is ur heads up guys.

Well if you can't I certainly can't lol. Half what you listed and the computer would still be better than mine. Oh well. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I doubt it will run it. F.E.A.R looks pretty shader intensive.
That said, the implications of this really terrifiy me.

It may be your Vid Card.
I have
1gig Ram
100 gigs free
9600 XT
2.2 GHZ
and it allows me to download it.
Edit: 76 min to d/l </3 lines
3 things though:
1) I can't wait for the single player, it'll kick ****, no doubt about it.
2) It's a decent chance to see how your machine will run with F.E.A.R., despite the fact that the multiplayer physics, shaders, etc, are all cut down from what they will be in the single player, to help with framerates, lag, etc.
3) Am i the only one, on the office level, that's seen a dark figure run past in a corridor that's blocked off behind the metal shutters?
What a mess. I hope the single player can raise the level of this game otherwise there are many much better alternatives in the genre.
Now i'm glad I signed up as Mr O W Kenobi <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Y'see, this is why i'm opposed to this multiplayer beta.
You get so many people that seem to judge a game by something like this. First of all, a lot of the game's effects, physics, and flashy stuff are cut out of the multiplayer portion of the game to make sure everyone can run at an optimal framerate and to cut down on server lag and such (Source: PC Zone about 4 months back). So if you're expecting a graphical revolution, you're going to be disappointed.
Imagine they did a hl2 multiplayer beta, with HL2DM's shoddy, laggy, and overall crap physics, would that be the physics revolution you were waiting for? No, it wouldn't.
As for the weapons, yeah, a lot of them lacked any kind of beefyness or "oomph" to them, so much so they make HL2's feeble weapons seem like the most powerful guns ever. But the variety is decent, and who can't admit that the ability to pin your enemies to a wall with a nail through the head isn't fun?
Maps are small? Guess what, this is straight-up deathmatch. This isn't BF2, this isn't UT2K4's Onslaught, no, this is balls to the wall fragging, that's it. And i'm glad it's just that, the less time working on an insignificant feature (multiplayer) and putting their work into the single player, the better.
So finally, this is like judging how good Half-Life 2 is by it's voice acting. It's an insignificant extra and faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar from being the star of the show.
just sounds to crappy to me

At 90%? Hell you may as well have tried it out having got that far!
AMD 64 3200+
ATI Radeon 9600 XT
80 gb hard drive
1280 mb ram
onboard sound (but i really dont think that matters seeing how my sound works perfectly fine)
and a lame dial up connection <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

If what you are saying is true, then why the hell are they making their first demo release something tangential to the strengths of the game? Its just a good way to lose any hype you managed to build up ahead of time.
What, the magnum that would send people flying backwards and kill them with whiplash (?) if you shot them in the foot with it wasn't powerful enough for you? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
