Radeon 9800 Or Geforce 6800le
Im going for a new grafic card, and i need some advice by those who have one of those cards.
First i was going for a Radeon 9800 PRO 128mb but i have changed my mind and thinking of Geforce 6800LE 128mb.
A Radeon card cost me around 165$ / 137£
A Geforce 6800LE cost me around 204$ / 168£
By the way, i heard Geforce 6800LE is quite better then a Radeon 9800 128mb card, Shaders etc.

Same price, faster clock speed, same memory.
It may get half the performance that the 6800le would get.
I also reccomend the 6600GT, since you obviously don't have a PCI-Express system.
and while its good and stuff just no, its **** mine kept making dots everywhere it was teerible
However, the 6600GT has slightly higher specs for a comperable price.
If you're not into sitting around running benchmark programs, I don't think you'll see dramatic differences anyway.
That is completely disreguarding any fanboyism as well.

wouldnt it be 6600GT comparaed to 6800LE?
I know the 6800 is slightly higher then the 6600 which is why I would prefer to get the 6600, if I had to choose between the two Nvidia cards.

who said that 6600GT being slighty faster than 9800XT?
Spec wise, they're fairly identical so I'd go with whichever is cheaper.

Yay, I have this too, without the dots.
Post a benchmark, or theoretical ratings for Mtris/sec and pixel fill rate and that may give some insight.
I know nVidia and ATi measure their theoretical values differently, so a review would be the best.

Now, you want to show him peformance graphs and benchmark numbers? Go ahead.
If you had a radeon 7000 core running at 200 MHz and a 6800 GT core running at 200 MHz, they would not perform simmilarly. Same with CPUs, a 2GHz athlon will almost always outperform a 2 GHz p4, both of which will be pwned by a 2 GHz pentium M.
Unless you're comparing vivo specs, its not really a valid way to compare worth. That's all.

And no i dont have PCI-E.
Cyndane: Have you tested BF2 on your computer with your Geforce 6600GT?
If so, what average FPS do you get on what settings? <3
The 6600GT isn't that much slower then the 6800GT, which is why I said if you don't need to spend the extra 200 bucks don't.

X850XTPE for the winniest?
My computer doesnt support the card(s).
So for further posting, recommand me or give advices about those half-old cards, not super über cards, otherwise dont post, thanks
The X800s have the same features as the 9800s, but with increased performance and reduced power consumption. My X850XT runs at nearly half the temperature of the 9800XT, but it's still nearly twice as fast.
