Well i offered a server and Bry the nub goes and sorts one out behind my back :o
Ive been on it a bit, fantastic game, however ive found a bug i think you prob know anyway, but ill still mention it. After a few games (i think 4 but not sure) when you go to join the next game, it just doesnt start. Players can run around, see other team but cant attack. Only a map change can sort it out. Im not sure but i think this may be why the us ter server was empty when i was playing.

BTW, if this mode gets popular enough, can 1) become officially part of NS, or at least 2) have an official subforum here?
Dark_Soul has been kind enough to post a complete breakdown of this on the modNS.org Forums here, and we will be hosting the plugin when it's released.
I like the sound of this and I already have a map concept which would probably work best for Defence (?) mode.
In a way this Mod would make the map easier to make, but in another it wouldn't fit the background of the map, which isn't just the story but certain gameplay aspects.
I'd prefer working with properly integrated entities because this way you know that admins are just gonna butcher your map by playing a game mode on it that it hasn't been designed for and you have absolutely no control over this. Then you'll get loadsa people bitching about your map being really imbalanced because some retarded admin goes and **** it out to whichever game mode he wants to...
It's a nice type of map for a learner to get their teeth into, and you could probably churn out a pretty good map in a couple of months if you have a bit of hammer experience.
I can see I'm gonna have to try this out before I'm convinced to map, or encourage others to map for it...
---
However, praise is most definitely due for getting this working. If you work on balance issues the Devs might even look at endorsing it in some way, what with My Games looming over us.
I'm working on a territory map with a slightly unconventional layout (every path converges on the middle node room). Should be completed relatively soon.

would it be possible to make it so that in tech war you dont place buildings on the rts, but some sort of other type of thing? im sure it wouldnt be too hard to think up a new model and toss it in there. some sort of power outlet for buildings.
the guys over at territory have fixed the tech war bug.
