Oh come off it he’s not that special!

I walk up escalator stairs two at a time, I'm a real mans man! Where’s my segment on national television damnit?

Not that impressed. MK:IV is all about combos. You learn a few moves that initiate the enemy to start a combo then block until the slow section of the combo where you can start your own combo on them.

Beat em up pr0s aren't that impressive to me tbh, blind or not. It's just a matter of learning a script. Reciting a poem isn't impressive, acting a difficult part well can be. Learning to play a long musical piece can be done, but I'm more impressed by a musician's improvisational skills; not how well he can assimilate information and regurgitate it.

I tend to rely on sound more than visual cues anyways. I'm terrible at Goldeneye without sound, as an example.

Do it after having your legs chopped off, then there might be some comparison. Please, this person has a serious handicap and is able to do something that would be deemed as impossible for people with such a condition. Maybe he is just button-mashing, but the article also says he plays other games (I would like to see how he plays space invaders).

I've done that, not really too hard if you can manage to articulate your toes enough for moving left and right.

The bigger accomplishment than Soul Calibur 2 (which really is a button masher, not just for Maxi, but just about everyone; Kilik, Knightmare, Cervantes (...okay, so I've only played SC1...I don't know if he's in 2) has some form of repeatable quick attack...even Sophitia, my über character has the bouncy summersault kicks you can just keep repeating (and eventually knock people out with) is Space Invaders. Now a blind person actually beating a level of SI is much more amazing than beating some loser in Soul Calibur. I mean...it doesn't even have stereo sound. You need to memorize the ships' motions or something...

A skilled SC2 player will beat a button masher. Button mashers don't know how to guard impact.

Some of the characters have really easy to use unblockable attacks...which basically nullifies the guard anyway. I don't remember, but don't throws do it too?

Unblockables (weapons leave a trail of flame) can't be guard impacted but as far as I can remember there isn't a single one that's too fast for you to get a hit in before it arrives. I think guard breakers (weapons make a bright flash when they attack) can be guard impacted, but I'm not sure (but they're mostly slow anyway). Guard doesn't work against throws, but you can get out of one by pressing a or b (depending on which throw they used). Besides, only a really poor player would be unable to stop their opponent simply throwing thme repeatedly (by attacking them before they get in range for a throw, at the very least).

Lots of people say all it takes is button smashing to win. Others say its still a great feat.

So if someone here has SC2 and a video camera, they should film a little expirament.

Videotape it so we can all watch after you upload it to the internet lolz.

Have someone blindfolded play via button mashing whatever against someone not blindfolded, and we will see who wins.

You can also Guard Impact throws. If you grab another grab I think that works as a block as well.
