    Why not:

A huge campaign, lasting months. Only registered players with 100+hours of registered play can enter.
When being entered you are assigned a side possibly on the side you prefer but if the tide of war is going one way you will be asigned on the other side.

Multiple servers generating new randomly generated maps for every new encounter. The result for each battle will be reported up to the central server and add point to the side that won.

When side X has n number of more victories than side Y there is a big deciding battle between side X and Y and if X wins, the nte entire campaign is a win for side X. If side Y wins it is just another step back towards tipping the fortunes of war the other way.

Thus meaning in the ongoing campaign, small as big battle they all matter and they all generate points to your side until the final battle.

maybe it's that the entity list part of the maps will be in seperate files and they made a deal with other mods for them to do the same. then that would mean you could play any mod on any mod's maps as long as a little entity file was made for them so, for example, you could play NS on CS maps and CS on NS maps and NS on HL maps or SI maps or SC maps or HI maps or TFC maps or DOD maps etc.

<b>This</b> is what happens when NS developers run out of ideas for NS. They make some small, meager and vauge statement that <i>something</i> is going to be added that changes the history and the way that NS is going to be played.

Then a thread, much like this one, opens up. People start <i>guessing</i> and <i><b>guessing</i></b> like <b>animals</b> about what its going to be, and sooner or <i>later</i> the developers like somones "guess" and use that "guess" as their new "system."

Oh, we're on to you alright. We're onto <i>you...</i>

a newly coded partical system? allowing for better looking, volumetric spores, umbra, explosions, and possibly a flamethrower? Although I doubt a flamethrower would be introduced this late in the beta, the balance issues will be HUGE im sure if one is ever implemented.

That's one of the main attractions of bunnyhopping, only the <i>creme de la creme</i> of skulks can do it. Most players of reasonable skill can learn to do it if they are prepared to put the time in. That would be so boring I'd throw up. Yuck. Imagine if two marineteams decides to siege eachother, from their base. No-one can build in the middle of the map b/c of the sieges, and you cant take down their base cause of a 1000000 turrents, and nadespam. God i hope this is never ever ever ever implented, same thing with aliens vs aliens.

Gee two of the same team fighting eachother? Yeah i guess that would never work, seeing as though every other fps game like tribes or tfc failed at this... /sarcasm

I mean right now you could say that siege on siege is enevitable, and unstoppable. Though, to someone who hasn't played tfc could say, 'what if everyone goes engineer and spams their bases with turrets? the game would never end!' While this is possible, it isn't practical and if it is, a few balance changes could try and fix it up. Just try not complain about something you have never tried.

First, we have Cagey. He maintains the site and such. As Nem pointed out, he knows quite a bit about PHP and HTML. He also knows a fair bit about mapping, although that may not be an important point
Next, we have Joev. Joev runs Jarhedz and hosts NS.org. Also, from what I have heard he knows a fair bit about linux. But again, that may not be important.
The main thing I would like to point out is that
I think that what ever this system is, it probably has to do with connectivity and NS.org.

Now, we get on to Flayra. Numerous times he has expressed ideas about wanting NS to be a large ongoing war, where every battle effects another one, and so on. That would require a fair bit of connectivity.. an online database and someone to maintain it..
Although, it is obviously not such, just because that would be really hard to balance.. Not to mention it would take a lot longer, and probably won't even be in NS2.. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->

Bunnyhopping isn't that hard, that's the point. There needs to be an explanation in the manual and a decent description, undocumented features are a bad idea.
