Ha.ze, you could try checkning your downloaded file for corruption. Mine works so I'll assume it's OK.

Ha.ze: make sure you click overwrite files.
If not extract fmod.dll thats in /half-life folder in the zip to
steamapps/email/half-life
that should fix it

Wow I love you this is great...I've always wanted to play some 1.04 (I havnt got stuck yet in 9 games). It turns out you have to play aliens much differently then now, like the old fade blink (which is hard to use? some help please?). I love it and love you soooo much for doing this for us.

Hard to say how the balance was in that game. Every side got owned all the time because the game was so new, and wins often were accidental <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />

Waller, it's our time to "waste". I don't see how it possibly could be detrimental to you so it's really non of your bussiness. I played quite a bit of ns 1.04 recently. There are a lot of annoying bugs, it's badly balanced, but I find it more fun than 3.0 in many ways and it's my call to make.

This was rather tricky to do as there are quite a few bugs with ns 1.04 and steam.
Firstly installing it = major pain. Then you have to patch a number of sprite files and sort out problems with fmod.dll. Plus a number of other config settings and things like the missing background

But, i have fixed all this and made it into a convenient .zip file

Before you install you must read the readme.txt (located in half-life) folder as it containts 2 versions of fmod.dll
This is so very important as you have other mods which use a newer version fmod.dll you will need to run a .bat file to switch between fmod.dll (this isn't important unless you play other mods like svencoop)

But enough of that

Just like to say this was a compelte success. It seems you either love 1.04 or hate it. For those that love it this was some fantastic games and brought back a lot of memories.

Yes, but it seems you need a certain ammount of players for critical mass. With 0 players on any of the servers allmost no one will join. With 2vs2 or less it's not really fun. If there are enough players they can quite quickly leak over to and fill other servers when one fills up.

4 or so bots that leave one at a time when players join might help a bit, but a lot of players despise bots even if they do go away when real players join.

o yea make sure u guys get the metamod fixes that were for 1.04 like jetpack fuel and stuff like that... it was like some 1.05 mods
