Yes, 'we need better players' is indeed a standard NS sound, triggered by the vast majority of the alien team being dead.
As for the 3 unused turret sounds, I actually have sometimes heard them play ingame, sometimes in a large turret farm one of the turrets will use a different sound.
Very strange...
Of course, if you think they sound better, why not simply rename two of the files around, so that the standard sound is replaced by one of the ones you prefer?
