Yeah i know it's on crapplanet but it's a really good watch, and i laughed my **** off when i saw this movie. NS looks so different. There's loads more old ns movies on there, just check the movies section.

God, that brings me back. I really should keep bugging Charlie about a release of NSPT 1, the first online playtest build ever. No Onos, no alien viewmodels, the Fade was represented by some genestealer model, acid rocket behaved like the HL MP5, the shotgun fired slugs... God, did we have fun with this.

I can't remember much of 1.x NS (I joined during 1.04), but one thing that really stands out in my mind is epic (yet ultimately futile) struggles within ns_caged's Marine Start. That, and making ladders into the vent.

NS1.04 was all about JPHMG rushing computer core on eclipse.

Step 1:Take down hive
Step 2:Hide in little secret spot in back
Step 3:Wait for gorge to put hive back up
Step 4:Begin again at Step 1

I took down computer singlehandedly at least 75 times in 1.04 (often as comm I'd drop myself gear and do the job myself).

Turretfarming engine room on bast was the downside of 1.04. You could farm it out into a basically invincible fortress (if you had saved enough res to HA all the marines).

You could hover forever in 1.04 with jetpacks. I had it mastered.
