    Hostile Intent's realism is only if you are a fat, stupid robot who can't shoot straight. I can PERSONALLY wear the armor those guys have, in those conditions, and handle those weapons, better than in that game. Realism = realism, not punishment.

    Also, Kevlar does not protect against rifle rounds, only smaller rounds, like pistol and most shotguns.

    Different Squad Members, Delta Squad Member 3 Cant hear Bravo Squad Member 4... Squad Leaders can talk amonnst them selves with the commander, but Squad Members are limited to there squad.


    Or at least thats what i picked up, becase i wasnt able to do anything else but what i described.

    No, but as far as I know(and have been told by army personnel who've been in combat, some who HAVE been hit) thats how it is. The reason being that while they COULD have things that deflect it, it'd break their ribs. Kevlar absorbs bullets, and thus can only take them to a point.

    I run on an ATI Radeon 8500 64mb and I can run BF2 without crashes.. it does get a little laggy at times but it's usually alright.. 512mb ram too.


    And on another note.. WHY CAN'T I HIT ANYTHING x.x I lay there shooting someone and it'll take me like 5 bursts to kill them but whenever someone shoots at me its like 1-2 burts.. any suggestions?

    Nothing beats sitting in one of the spawns in a BMP/machinegun and mowing people down as they spawn, I came out with a score of 35/4 doing that hahaha! The abrams is awesome too, but I prefer my 20mm HE shells.

    I'm not going to bother to repost what i did in the other thread, but to summerize, this game is bloody amazing.

    My only gripe at the moment is with the planes. They are great fun to use, and great for shooting down other planes/the odd helicopter who doesn't know how to use flares, but that is about it. Even with the two seat russian plane, i havn't been able to really do anything to groudn targets. I remember reading somewhere about 'painting' a target for a friendly aircraft. Can you still do that, or is there another trick to killing ground units that i have yet to find?

    I did the exact same thing, exept i drove it to a bridge. And played the waiting game.
    Then just 30 secounds later, an enemy jumped into the over-C4'ered vehicle. BOOM!!
    There goes the jeep, man AND the bridge. Funniest thing about it was that a tank drove into the water (thought it could get over the destroyed bridge). <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> LOVE this game, LOVE C4 AND LOVE MEDIC.

    Seriously, being able to spawn where your teamleader is is so cool. As long as you keep the leader alive, you get a huge advantage. So why is more than half the team ever unassigned? The mind boggles.

    Wow I love this game. It's the first FPS I've been able to really get into since I got my new computer and I get to use my MX518's instant sensitivity switch to good effect. Drop into the sniper nest and click click suddenly I can precision shoot like a madman. Crazy fun game.

    Downloading it now, from what I've seen there's no boats, though. Which is a pity, because the best thing about the bf:1942 wake island demo was destroyer/carrier chicken \o/.

    Squads are so awesome.

    I was a squad leader for a good while with awesome people in my squad. They did everything i asked them. They stuck with me through the whole game, round after round. My squad was full all the time. They healed me, spawned by me, attacked with me, waited for me. Asked me for orders. Man, it was almost surreal.

    With a squad like that, we won round after round after round. It was amazing. This game is pure sechs.

    Wow, I found out, I am a absolute GODLY chopper pilot. Combat, or troop transport(troop is my fav though- its fun knowing that you just put down a team that could easily decimate the entire enemy force alone, and go back to get more XD

    I'm really getting the hang of being a medic. Charging through gun fire and explosions to heal people is pretty cool. Even if they do get run over by an enemy APC 2 seconds later.
