Very cool! Was the aiming in that video intentional? I'm guessing it was because there didn't seem to be a damage model in the game yet. No one has mentioned the pistol reveal!
The soundtrack was very impressive as well.
Anyone want to speculate what building the marine was looking at, 25 sec into the video? (that is, if it is a building and not a prop :P)

Yeah, I was just overwhelmed by warm nostalgia when I saw the end of the gun and the "stripes" (for lack of better words for a non gun enthusiast), something I felt defined NS weapons quite a bit. Looks really good!
And a few other things I just thoroughly thought was awesome was the sound the Gorge gives off by the resource-node and the smg deployment. And speaking of that the new resourcetower looks mighty weird, thought it would be closer to the original but it's pretty effective. More like a worm with a disgusting sack which I guess is a bit more believable than the old one.
It'll be a slow wait after what we've seen here; I so want to get busy playing with the alpha!

sweet i like the tiny hud and ammocount on the weaponitself! But im confused, gorge in third person? Was it just for show or will it be ingame? If yes, please allow mousewheel zoom! But im sure its only for show. And i like the tf2 sentrys, i mean the sentrys ;) I know like everygame did it, but can you not make the gun more realistic and let the rounds come out from the right side? Looks very unrealistic if they fall to left. Ill hope you fix the peformence, i know its a pre-alpha but it looks like it has peformence issues. The skulk walksound is not final? I mean the skulk walksound must sounds like "ping ping" with his crawls on the metal is not "flap flap" its more like ping ping and if you see the marine see the skulk you dont hear the walk sound, i hope its just because pre-alpha :) At all great work, looking good, can´t wait for the beta

Same here, i hope its not like every developer "yeah we want to insert this feature at the end, and now we figured out it can be done with the peformence, so we cut it out" Argh no, i hope no with UWE i am sure its already in but not final!
P.S. i try the editor and w00t its so sweet easy to use and i guess hammer would be the best mapping editor. I add the onos and put the cam under it, it feels totaly like ns1, i realy hope you can walk as a skulk under the onos ^^
Well this video is a first look - and not a bad one - but why is it so low fps? I strongly suggest another video soon without this laggy look and feel. This is not your first video you did so i assume that NS2 needs a multicore super computer if you want a good looking game with more then 15fps. I hope i can get my hands soon on that i7 980X ;)

That obs: someone pointed out as being an NS1 model earlier today; it looks like it has a lot more to it than the NS1 model had.
The third person view of the running gorge was interesting, really hope there's more third person stuff!
I'd also like to point out how I'm hoping for a soundtrack even more so, now.
