Man, adhd, just ignore Fana when he's being a ######. Respond to his legitimate criticisms and either ignore or briefly address his personal attacks. There's no reason at all to get upset about some guy calling you anything over the internet.
I think personal insults are unhelpful in any rational debate and the best response is usually a brief, firm reminder that the other person should be addressing your argument or complaint instead of an ad hominem. It's also important to remember that emotions run high in disagreements. Everyone occasionally calls someone with a counter opinion an "idiot" or "bad," but you shouldn't back away from a debate because someone insulted you. To undecided readers, a personal attack lowers the credibility of the attacker.
You do yourself a disservice in writing 1000 words in rebuttal to a one line insult. It isn't worth your time and simply magnifies the worthless off-topic tangent.
Lol, if only you knew what I REALLY wanted to say. I could have made those 1000 words a lot more colorful. I really don't care about fana at all and what he thinks of me. I am angry on principle and by how often I see this crap happening on our forums.
I was replying to him in a general sense... mostly talking in reference to the entire community and how they treat people. Not intended to be directly to Fana. Not to mention most of the posters on here are just unknown names to me... so trying to pass any judgement with that information alone seems absurd. I would assume that would go both ways, and that people wouldn't pass judgment with what little information they have about me. I play this game, I started a team, and I am a musician... which you can judge from the information available to you directly this forum... anything beyond that is slander.
I won't ignore slanderous comments about me, I will defend myself against what untrue bullcrap is spewed around. Anyone who has played with me and has ever talked to me before knows what I am really like. I am chill, and one of the least judgmental people around. So, when I see other people judging others it really ticks me off because I see it as such a low form of human behavior... enough so that I feel it warrants some words to be said in defense of it. It especially pisses me off because I am not judgemental but instead perceptive. It just goes against my nature to allow judgements to be passed around. I believe it is my duty to shut down false judgement and encourage open mindedness. I don't really need to explain myself anyway... people have eyes and brains to read and comprehend discussion here. People already see the true colors behind arguments and the real intentions. It becomes obvious after a while. So, perhaps maybe you are correct about ignoring. It's moreso just my own personal expression that I have to get out.
Because I'm sure in real life Fana, and whoever else, wouldn't say any of these things to my face. Sitting behind a computer 2000 miles away makes it really easy to be a jerk.

I full heartedly agree adhd. Personally, my biggest criticism of NS2 is the pres system. It should be scrapped and replaced with something more fruity where gorges drop a random ammount of bananas when killed. Marines need to collect these bananas in order to trade them for better weapons and rollerskates at the armoury. Skulks also have a chance to drop pineapples. Imo, because bananas taste better, they should be worth 10 pineapples. I think this would be roughly balanced. A shotgun might cost 1 bananas and 3 pineapples.
In order to ensure there are always gorges to drop a regular supply of bananas, alien RT's should regularly drop Oranges which are then harvested by gorges to build things. Only my opinion, but totally valid.

There you go elodea :). Just like some people assumed George Lucas was on acid when he came up with a tall man-like dog called a Wookie. He's obviously a complete crackpot with no merit.
You exhibit stellar wisdom in the process of creative thought! Just because you refuse to wrap your mind around a new concept does not falsify it's validity. Obvious troll post is troll. The funny thing is you could actually balance the economy of a game on the absurd concept you just came up with. Would anyone play your game? Who knows... gotta try it to find out. But it sounds a lot like a crappy RPG like diablo or wow (Also my opinion).
The rollerskates idea is actually not bad... makes more sense than giving people jetpacks to fly around in corridors and rooms with 10 foot high ceilings... but hey it sure as hell is fun right?
You could say marines have to go around getting invisible pretend money from metal structures sucking "nanites" out of the ground in the middle of a space station cafeteria floor which then turn into structures and weapons and magical health packs that can cure any injury!
You also have a fat hooved alien called a gorge that farts (Used to :-/) on people to heal their bullet wounds.
That sounds pretty normal too eh? Your logic and pathetic attempt to make me look stupid amazes me.
@ADHd yeah, fair cop. I've overreacted to some suggestions. That's probably more a reflection on me then the other person though. Usually I just can't understand why somebody would want whatever it is that they want, so the suggestion comes across as without just cause. I'm getting better at moderating my responses and explaining my thinking. Some people don't have the patience for that, and to be honest, an internet forum is about the hardest medium to communicate ideas as mankind has invented.
Also a lot of people have an entrenched belief that NS2 should be like NS1 and they get very concerned when they hear suggestions that would interupt that. That's a testiment to the success of NS1.
So my advice to you is don't wear your heart on your sleave. If somebody on the internet calls you an idiot, don't worry. You don't have to explain yourself to them. If they want to engage in a civilised dialogue and a mutual exchange of ideas, they won't start by calling you an idiot. Also keep in mind that they don't owe you their time to discuss stuff with you. You can put your ideas out there, just like I'm doing right here, but you can't decide how people will respond. What you can do is pick and choose who you engage with.
