The final form of the Carar Virus looks f-cking terrifying...
It's funny how the player is silent about the whole experience, how do we know his hands are shaking from the pain and not the really cold waters of the lost river. There would atleast be some screams or grunts of pain.
Who else thinks that this Cyclops should be colored rather than just having the generic colors? Maybe have a name like SS Torgaljin. I just want this Cyclops to have some additional sorry behind it.

Don't care about the colors, but scanning the SS Torgaljin or whatever the Degassi crew named their sub makes far more sense than scanning a bunch of fragments from the Aurora. After all, why would the Aurora store a Cyclops on board when they have Industrial Fabricators and space and weight is always a major issue for space travel? It makes far more sense that the Aurora stores the plans to the Cyclops on their computer and build it with resources at the construction site instead of carrying a massive piece of unnecessary equipment light years.
The only reasonable explanation for the Aurora to store the Cyclops on board is that it is not a submarine, but a shuttle. The Seamoth could actually be used for repairing the Aurora.

I think this is the "Destroyed Cyclops" model that will be used when the Cyclops receives it's overhaul.
More updated raw minerals
Lithium and mercury I believe
Which is which?
I would imagine since the current Lithium samples in the game are a pinkish color (though in reality it is a slivery-white), it can be deduced that the Reddish example above would be the Lithium and thus the other Mercury. (which in reality is a silver color)

Actually mercury ore is cinnabar, which is deep red in color, while a mineral you can get lithium out of is spodumene, which is often grayish aside from its light pink and green gemstone colors. If they want to make it really "right" you would see deeper colors from certain angles looking at spodumene due to its extreme pleochroism than others, turning almost colorless from some.
Does anyone else kinda wish the game would allow you to pick up the big deposits and have a means to use them to decorate a base with? That mercury would make for a mighty fine entrance look.
Does that mean they now plan to fill out all those lacking actual visuals yet, or do they just want to remove the big "visuals unidentified" and replace it with a blank (I guess)?

I hope they plan to fill out all the database entries lacking visuals...
Can't say I'm fond of making the stalkers weaker by that much. I feel like a 1/4th less would be better, mostly because, while I understand early game needs some leeway, creatures should be consistent in strength to avoid making the world too tiered to maintain immersion. The rest has my approval.
Heya, roadmap update! SN will now not leave EA until September.
More time for optimization. Don't dare to say you hate this.
Oh, I won't. Also because one of the devs (Obraxis?) on Discord two days ago (I think) mentioned interesting discussions during their vacation and to expect some activity on Trello when they get back. Not to say I don't find optimization important* and am glad the team takes their time for it, but I also recall that before the deadline was moved to May the Cyclops update was post-V1.0.
(* I recently tried to leave the LR with my Cyclops and I approached that one root that marks the exit to the BKZ. I halted a little in front of it as confusion hit me that I thought the area was more filled. Cue that one tree suddenly spawning in right through my sub, which started shaking like mad and I couldn't get it loose. One good thing was that I had forgotten my PRAWN so at least I didn't make the whole trip back to the Safe Shallows first.)

That's something I really would like to have and feel I need.

That's one very sad looking sub.

Expansion means like more to the game, possibly in dlc, right?
Yeah. I kinda like seeing it be it referred to as an "expansion pack". Haven't seen that term in a while.
Did a quick video on our channel about the update to the roadmap.
Channel Video: Subnautica Roadmap Update
I'm glad it is, it's like a news source for what's cracking with Subnautica development.
