    this looks to be interesting and fun to me!
    I wish I was able to play test so that I could give an opinion of it!
    I at first didn't like the Idea, but now as I read on it looks and sounds like alot of fun!

    If you dont like ns:c dont play it, if most of the community doesnt like it/doesnt play it ns:Combat = dead. Simple as that, and as to your next remark of 'there are more whiners/cs players/morons than smart people like "yourself"'. Well that means that said 'morons' will be playing ns:c leaving a pure-er playerbase for normal ns, it's a win-win situation.

    Well, it looks better than it sounded... More NS:FA rather than NS:CS.

    Fire Selection/Natural Arms as opposed to Counter-Selection (which was the original idea for NS:C tbh) or Natural-Strike (again, CS & NS together is just wrong, name combos prove that much)

    Doesn't look bad at all.

    I have to admit, it looks better than I'd originally thought. I read all (31 pages at the time) of the NS:C thread the other night, and have to stick to my guns that I still am not behind this 100%, mostly for the division of community we might see. However, I did get a bit of faith in it seeing some of the screenies.

    Point is: I'm not worried that it's going to suck, because it DOES sound and look like a blast to play. I just hope Flayra and co. are right in the fact that this won't harm NS Classic in any way.

    So far Aliens only defend, there isn't anything for them to destroy at the marines spawn. Keep in mind this is an early bulid though, nobody really knows exactly where Flayra is going with this.

    Hmm,

    I nice little twist to the NS formula. I think this will be a great change...A few rounds of NS: Combat, and then a few rounds of vanilla NS !!!

    Ah, variety is the spice of life !!!

    I really hope people will stop compairing NC: Combat to CS, because where in CS can you bite your victims, or devour them whole, where's the jetpacs in CS? It's 2 completely different playing styles.

    What this does sound like is not CS... but the war3 mod for CS... the more kills you get the better abilities you get... or evolutions anyways...

    BEATEN TO THE COMMENT BY ONE POST.

    This does bear a striking resemblance to the WC3 mod for CS. That said, I only love the concept even more than I do now. WC3 mod is pretty much the only reason I play CS at all anymore. Obvious problem is, of course, that this opens up the possibility that players will be sucked out of NS in order to play the perhaps more fun alternative. NS:C has potential to be a blazing fast game with insane quantities of MAAAAAADNESS!!!!!1, but just as some people mourn the days when CS used to be a co-op game, if NS:C bleeds the NS community dry of commanders and team leaders, we will have lost something special. NS is lovely, and I'd hate to see it fade away, even if it was replaced by something as frighteningly fun looking as NS:C.

    So about NS:C. How does the ranking system work between maps? You get reset after every map change? Will we be seeing anything like the disparity between the already smallish WC3 CS mod community, torn between xp_save 0 and xp_save 1? I VERY MUCH LIKE the idea of a very very slow-building rank system in NS:C, in part because, like the WC3 CS community, it builds server loyalty and stratifies players into more recognizable skill-levels. Much in the opposite fashion of the current Don't-Show-Stats-Because-It-Is-A-Team-Game logic, but we can discuss that later. However, some people will undoubtedly enjoy something like xp_save 0, because they get to rebuild themselves for whatever map comes next.

    NS:C makes me want to touch myself. c_c I MUST HAVE IT.

    As for a lone marine out there hiding and wetting himself as the rest of his team just tells him it's over and to just DIE, it figures the aliens will probably just say something like: Hey you guys, go find him, we have three skulks putting down a marine massacre and getting res as they spawn in.

    anyone who blams the whole NS:C idea should go hang themselves or something. If there's screenshots and a version that the PTs/Vets get to play, do you really think they'll throw it away at some people's qualms?

    no. It'd take the entire amount of NS players to say "no" to NS:C before it got dropped; and i <b>wont</b> be one of those people.
