BECAUSE I'M NOT TAKING A TIGER OUT OF IT'S NATURAL HABITAT AND RUINING IT'S LIFE.
I swear, the day i start enslaving wild animals i hope i get mauled by a tiger because i would have lost all self-respect and the ability to actually look at my face in the mirror.
Grow the hell up man, show animals some respect and stop being such a ****. These people, just like hunters, poachers and people that make bears dance, they deserve to go to hell, they deserve to get mauled horrendously by the animals they enslave.
I have to agree with ness and esuna on this one. I find it fantastically fitting that these daft sods finally get turned on by one of the creatures they have humiliated for years. The fact its taken so long is what puzzles me.
How de we know how they treat the animals off stage anyway? they could treat them like kings or queens but for all we know as soon as they get off stage or the cameras stop rolling those Tigers could be getting the living hell beaten out of them, either way doesn't make any difference to the fact that using animals for this sort of thing is wrong.
Then again I don't even agree with the concept of Zoo's (and don't go on about how many of the animals in zoo's are the the only thing keeping the species alive blah blah blah I know this but I still get one of those moral tugs at the thought of it)
Reports say it grabbed his arm, he tried to shake it off and used his other (microphone holding) hand while saying "no no no".
Then he accidentally made contact with its face (I don't know if he punched it or if his hand just touched its face) and it went for his throat.
I dunno how well they take care of the animals, or whether they're wild or bred in captivity, but I'm fairly flipping sure that it'd be only a matter of time before one decided to have a go at someone.
I don't think its ironic enough. True irony will be Steve Irwin dying during something totally mundane and unrelated to animals. That'd be quality dark humour - like slipping on a banana peel.

congratz, all of you
come back after taking a few classes in behavior then we will talk
large cats can NOT be domesticated, end of story. This is a well known fact (including by S&R, I fave heard them talking about it)
They don't humilate the animals, the don't torture the animals (they would have been caught finned and thrown in jail if they did)
They also don't think of the animals as pets, simply b/c they are not. Yes they love those animals, who wouldn't I love them simply by watching them.
I have heard S&R and a few other famous animal trainers/magicians talking on the subject. You never use force, you never use any form of punishment (it dosn't work). you use rewards (food and praise), and repetition to train animals like this (well any animal actualy).
You people are all simply uninformed idiots that are just jumping to conclusiones.
As for the PA strip, well lets see, sticking clothing on a bear and BEATING it with a stick is NOT THE SAME THING AS TRAINING AN ANIMAL, that is simply crulity to animals (an actual law prohibts that).
Look, Animal behavior is one of my key interests (I have been doing work in the field since junior HS, my mother is a college prof in the field, I have worked as a vetrinary assistant (every thing from surgery to the severly depressing task of holding an animal being put to sleep), I have studied at zoos (specificly the Bronx zoo, one of the best there is when it comes to treating animals properly))
All of you simply are simply MAKING UP FACTS to suport your half assed arguments. I would like to see one of you pull up any REAL FACTS instead of just being twits about this. And for those of your who find this funny, congratulations, your why I hate the human race (I like animals better then humans, I know more about animals then humans, all of you know squat as far as I can tell).
I would say that this is my last post untill any of you can say something intelegent, but I can't resist feading the trolls (Its a personal failing)

life.. so often trajic.
Not particulaly true. It's far simpler than that. It's not a case of how they treat the tiger (However, that may contribute significantly...), it just comes down to one simple point.....
....<span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>IT'S A DAMN TIGER!</span> <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
My cat has never attacked me...
That tiger has been nursed by humans since it was born, just like my cat. Yes, it's a tiger and that's pretty damn scary considering how big they are and where they come from, but, I still think that if you showed it enough love and care then it would never attack you like it did to Roy. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
Your cat is, i presume, a domestic breed of cat. For countless generations it has been used to being around humans or whatnot. Go up to a wild cat and see if it doesn't try to claw your eyes out.
When it comes to an animal such as the tiger, the one they're using can't be more than 2-3 generations from a wild tiger at the MOST, and that's being excessively safe about that.
Maybe if it was a 1000th generation domesticated tiger it may not attack, but it's not now is it.
