in my opinion the tsa marine in heavy armor caring a shotty is a pretty scary sight as an alien i mean the shotty is pretty hell raising as it is isnt it? oh and the devs artwork is the best ive seen the amor dosnt look pretty and shinny like tribes because it gets the job done and usaly the job is going up agaisnst a hoard of angry aliens with maybe 2 other marines and that ant pretty.
Oi, now that you mention it, the heavy armor does look a bit like the Boss from Unreal Tournament... not that that's a bad thing. Xan Mk II 0wnZ j00!... Sorta. It's the model I use in it.
To me that marine armor looks like he is wearing a gas mask lol i like it though it looks more i dont know how to put it but it looks kewl
The level3 animations are amazing....they are poetry in motion....Everything I had hoped for...The heavy armor came out of nowhere but I must say I am impressed. I can't wake to take that level3 for a test flight....
It's gonna be hella awesome when I come busting in in my spiffy heavy power armor, shooting the sh*t outta the xenovolvers with my Machinegun (the big one, the first one you get looks more like an SMG, the second like an assault rifle, not a machinegun. A machinegun would be something like an M-60, not an MP5).

Both the heavy armor and the level 3 look very, very nice. Seriously, it looks extremely professional. As in, "How much am I going to pay for this, again?"
My only, very minor complaint is with the level 3 animation. When it's walking along, it seems to move its right-front claw at the same time as its right-rear leg. Same thing with the left side. Now, many animals do this, dogs, horses, and what have you, but only when they have quite a bit of momentum working with them to ensure that they can keep their balance. It just doesn't look like the level 3 is moving all that fast. I would imagine it would tip over. Naturally, in battle, no one would be able to notice, but I've got nothing else to pick over except the level 3 animation.
Like I said, it's a minor complaint, and not worth reworking if it would delay the release. I love the way the trailing edges of the wings slightly wave when its gliding, and the way it shifts its weight from one side to another when walking. Those little touches make it so retail-ish.

It means once he gets the armor he will kill the aliens easily and quickly....Duh.
With my luck, as soon as I obtain the Heavy Armor, our team will suddenly lose or I will die, having to pay for it again... if it works like that. My luck suxx0r$.
Check this page. Strangely, heavy armour wasn't a new concept that pooped up out of nowhere.
It might was well be new, half the stuff on that list was scrapped, maybe it was for a while and then they brought it back....essentially isn't it just a new skin when you get alot of armor upgrades or does it do something other than protect you?
As far as i know the commander can drop it for a marine, the marine puts it on and goes to kill some aliens. It does what any kind of armor would do, protect you. Raise the marine's life expectancy making it somewhat like the lvl 5 alien.
ho hum, no matter how many times I say it, people don't seem to notice. I confirmed that it is dropped by the commander with MonsE on the day the pics were released
it makes you look friggen huge and nifty looking.. and we all know aliens are afraid of big nifty looking huge things.. or maybe I just know that? or maybe I'm making it up... yes well it makes you look big and nifty.. the dissadvantage is.. most of your squade will cower behind you with that armor.. ' lets let the big guy go first' -quote from.. someone
I say it should speed up the player or not slow him down, at least. The heavy armor is probably expensive, and it has to be dropped for every player, right? If so, I say make it have recoil reducers and increase speed slightly... or not at all. I just suggest don't slow him.
