I do agree with DMS is good..but i dun look down on SC either..SC is a nice viable upgrade..ambushes are GREAT true but how mani can u ambush? 8 marines at a time? when marines go in grps with marine scan, SC became practically uselsss...ya skulks dies be4 ambush can be done..and ambusing = ya team spread out...so dun gif me nonsense tat well i can ambush using 4skulks blah blah since u need gorges for the SC/RT + skulks in other area...also defensive all the way is not that good..skulks'sspeed is for them to go run around on offensive more..
Movement's are possibly the best first for 2.01. Silence early game just disorients the marine's to hell. Celerity, you can run circles around the marine's without them touching you. But, it's practically a neccesity to have defense as a second hive chamber for Onos and Fade's.
Sensory is great, <i>for hive one skulks</i>. Sensory is not so great for any other life form. Defense on the other hand, is infinately preferable to sensory as fade, onos or gorge. Sensory in its current form forces you into a defensive standing. With cloaking, you have to position yourself in a spot where marines will present themselves to you ready to be pounced upon. Unless you aggressively blanket the map in sensory chambers (which rarely happens in pubs) you are forced to pre-emptively position yourself to where you <i>think</i> marines will be heading.
As skulk, I rarely get any upgrades at all. For expert skulks, redemption or regen would probably better suited to them than carapace. Apologies to any others that have already stated the above points, I don't have time to read the other replies.

Oh yeah, so many of the vets rock. I've owned vets before and I've owned them now. Saying "OMG they are teh vet!" means jack squat. Similarly with the clanners comment. Anyone can be in a clan, or be trying out for a clan. It doesn't mean they're good.
3 shotguns and 1 gl? Wow, that's a really good marine side you were playing against. There should have been 2 hmgs, 1 gl and 1 shotgun. The fact that those heavies had no hmgs demonstrates that those guys weren't very good.
Yet even in that case, no pinging huh? Despite the fact that they obviously knew you guys had sensory. Despite the fact that they were vets and clanners. What I see is a bunch of sub-par players lead by an ineffective and brainless commander.
It has already been stated numerous times that against a bad commander, sens works great. Your scenario merely reinforces this. Now give us a story where the marines were lead by someone who knows what the scan button is and hands out heavy weaponry. Did the heavies even have weapon upgrades?
And finally, if you do not supply us with all the details, do not expect us to magically know them. From the information you supplied to us in this thread, we gave responses. So do not start saying we have no f***ing idea what we're talking about. Next time, before you flame, give us all the information.
