Another game that deserves a movie tie in, but they would probably butcher it (no pun intended) like all movies based off games do.
I <i>strictly</i> play like there's still five thousand years to live with only <i>so</i> much supplies...
So at the end, I have too much ammo, too many repair kits, too many ice picks, too much of everything!
And then I feel bad for not using it... My precious... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Just look at how badly they ripped apart deus ex 2, its rare to see a game exceed the original.

As for the weapon degradation, one tactic I like to use is to not spend my nanites on anything but hacking until I find a vending machine that sells maintenance tools and then hack it, and buy a ton of them, they are one of the most valuable items in the game (most valuable being whatever melee weapon you are using, then med hypo's, then maint tools). There are more than enough hypo's, junk food, medpacks, and operating tables in the game to sustain you without buying any healing items.
I'm more than willing to get a coop game going, as long as we go all the way to the end (I can't remember if you can save a multiplayer game). In a few hours, perhaps?
Indeed, you can save a multiplayer game. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

If you want to play then join the channel! Me and the 2 people who actually came tried to get a game going, but we can't get the damn thing working. People who can host an SS2 game are few and far between it seems. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

and eek, rofl @ terminater reference =P those bots are actually the scariest thing in the game to me, just because when I hear one out of nowhere I know it's gonna blow up in my face and be like a guaranteed death...

Ha, I love System Shock 2. Maybe I'll install it tomorrow and play some with you guys, if you're down for it. After I beat the game, I went to the end of the Maintenence Level to the big window of space. The lowest part of the game. Then I speed ran to the very end. It was pretty fun, did it a couple of times. That game's VERY well made, and I've never gotten to play online, fooey.

When here's system shock 2 that has, more or less, the same thing, and it's 5 years old.
