I avoid shade first in games with lots of rookies or newer players. Phantom tends to make newer players stop moving around the map aggressively, and instead move slowly, often waiting in one place for extended periods. Don't get me wrong, ambushing …

Hey RejZoR, somewhere I have buried treasure. I promise that it's there. Other people have verified that this treasure exists. And I'll even tell you it's within the continental US.
That's not a very helpful list of clu… -
Allowing the fade to get out of danger every single time at pretty much zero risk while allowing them to be fully combat effective would be kinda nuts. I'd rather have it so that after the first swipe he starts to build up to a vortex in say 2-5 sec…

SanCo isn't totally off the mark. Free time is finite to most folks. Because of that, trying again later isn't a preferred option. After a long day at work, or class, or the kids finally went to sleep, you want to play a game you enjoy. You may only…

Looking at the server list right now, and my filters are as follows- Performance 100, ping 150, filter empty and filter full. Every other filter is off. I see 7 servers that fit that description. SIX of the seven are rookie friendly. The sev…

I avoid researching them as well. Too many people think they are giant invincible battlemechs from other games, and try to use them that way. They don't stop to think that a single skilled skulk can kill you one on one. The thought process just beco…

Given that GW is incredibly protective of their IP, I don't see it happening. They've even issued cease and desist orders to fans making models for other games.

I've found that for myself and others, fade upgrades are probably the last thing I research in the entire tree. It could be a chicken or egg situation, but I don't ever see the fade abilities used, and don't ever use them myself. When compared to al…

You have fellow Marines. That's your spawn protection. If those are gone, your team is out of position or dead. If they can't get back in time to save your ass, you're probably losing. NS2 is about teamwork, and if your team isn't helping you…

I'd rather they be booted to the ready room after a minute, and auto-kicked after 3 or 4. In a game with relatively low max players per server, each person is important. On an 18 man server, a single Marine is 12.5% of your total damage output, or m…

For me it's not that it's hard to notice that I'm under attack, it's that it hits a point where there's never NOT something or someone on my team being hit. Under Attack becomes normal, and there's no prioritization as to what's being hit or how har…

I hate detonation on lifeforms. I rarely die to it, but I'll be damned if it isn't the most infuriating way to die in this game.

The correct settings in the options menu can have a bigger impact than any recognized mod I've ever seen. -
I love early shotguns. However, most folks can't shoot very well. Lots of spray and pray etc. Rushing phasegates is a safer play in public games (Where every player is a wildcard) because you can push reinforcements to where they're needed much fast…

I feel this represents almost every match I've played on any map. The first skirmish at the two nearest Marine res nodes seems to be a pretty good indicator. -

I think one of the reasons that rookie friendly servers (not talking about rookie only) are NOT rookie friendly, is that there are incredibly few populated NON rookie servers. Right now if I refresh, I see ONE server that isn't ful… -
I feel ya there. I've just started manually cysting that area to prevent it, and to prevent the loss of 2-4 Res early game. At least it isn't as bad as Uncystable fabrication was.

They already said they're never going to do that.

If I recall, pretty much every voice command can be heard by the aliens. Not sure if I like possibly giving away my position just to make the waypoint disappear. -
Not to mention creating an armor plate with a concave shape instead of convex would greatly increase the chances of it being punctured.

But wouldn't spectators be almost as intensive on the server as a player? Everything still must be relayed to the client and such, there's just no significant traffic going back the other way. In order to have two spectators, you'd… -
I think it's quite progressive that UWE's female is the way she is. Slightly different frame and animations, but still a Marine. She's wearing the same equipment as everyone else, so why would she look different?

From the reinforced changelog. -
While I can think of a few places that strat may work, it's risky. Like you said, better to lose 1-2 on a fairly predictable basis, then risk suddenly losing 60. I suppose you could throw a shift there to emergency echo them away if you notice in ti…

Even on rookie servers a small amount of knowledge is expected. Like at least know what different structures do, and what the names are, what a cyst is etc. At least show that you've at least played a few games and messed around wi… -
A commander can hit the beacon button, get out of the chair and into an exo just in time to teleport. Could have been to prevent that from happening.

Right now it seems to be global

On that, I wish the exclude full servers filter would work on servers that are full but have reserved slots open.

Don't know why someone disagreed with you madkow- that's pretty much all you can do. Especially if you have a troll comm in the critical first 10 minutes of a round.

I think he's irritated about skulk wallflower syndrome. People who think skulks are supposed to wait in one spot until a Marine passes them, waiting 15 minutes for the perfect kill. They remind me of funnel spiders. Personally, I think skulks are su…
