Sorry for the late response. You can still unlock the abyss gorge skin by playing 5 rounds on the origin map. That may change with the release of the next ns2 update in about 2-3 weeks.

You are not the first to report this "issue". However that change is part of a mod that some servers use (see https://steamcommunity.com/sh…All I can say so far is that some method that's not tagged with profile points called by Client:OnUpdateClient is taking over 900 ms for 1 frame seems to cause the issue.
