I'd just like to confirm that this patch removed the necessity for me to "disable desktop composition" and use the modded D3D9.dll provided by a user. Thank you for making progress on this, the game is now better than it was in patch 252.

The D3D9.dll doubled my fps in Direct 9 X. Ridiculous. Thanks.
Edit: This was on a crossfire setup. -
My input delay was greatly improved when disabling desktop composition (aero) for windows 7 for the ns2.exe client. FPS drops in combat remain very bad.
-
I tried the disabling Aero and it greatly reduced input delay, it is barely noticeable now for me. Massive FPS drops in combat remain very bad however.

I'm mad because a game that has been working well for me for over a year suddenly became unplayable when the "update" 252 was published. They have since published 253 and 254, and the game is still unplayable for me due to micro stutters and input d…

This is a bullshit response, because "before these issues were known" sounds like there was something sneaking up on you. There wasn't. You CHOSE to publish a major beta patch to ALL customers days before free weekend.

Still experiencing input delay in 254. Very obvious when FPS drops in combat.
-
No idea if it helps, but you can test setting the in-game max fps using "maxfps 60" or whatever number you like in the console.

I'm suffering from both Micro-stuttering and Input delay. I tried fixes for both but I see no improvement. In addition, I'm seeing insane FPS drop in combat - often it will go from 50 FPS to 5 FPS or below. -
Still experiencing input lag and massive fps drops when fighting. This is in 253.
Looking forward to being able to play the game again. -
I'm still experiencing stutter, massive FPS drop when shooting aliens as marine, and input lag. When's the next patch planned for? 253 is still unplayable, 12-14 hour sessions per day with PTs or not.
-
Even when I use D3D11 I get HUGE fps drops when shooting my weapon as marine. Like, the game will go from 40 fps to 5 fps if I actually hit anything (not just shooting a wall). What's what about? Obviously makes it absolutely impossible to aim and s…

Mowwex changing to D3D11 seemed to help with the FPS, and I also have much less stuttering / "sudden drops". However, I am still experiencing severe input lag. When I move my mouse, it takes about 0.1 seconds for the game to register it. This makes …
