Realize that encumbrance hinders your swim speed. As DrownedOut alluded to, more tanks slows you down. So does having anything in your hands while you swim. Keep tools put up unless you need them.

I remember having this conversation a while back. I believe it's one of those acceptable breaks from reality where they prioritize gameplay over realism. Realistically, going in and out of a pressurization chamber would be tedious at best, and game-…

My Reaper reaction flowchart has one step: "Poop your pants."

I found the power cell charger fragments on the underwater island wreck, a few scattered around outside and on the hull, and some inside.
-
Ok, cool. I've experienced all that, just didn't realize that's what it was called. Thanks.
-
Yeah, I'd been wondering the same thing. I haven't seen that biome in a while.

What am I missing? What is a "carar"?
-
Yeah. The on-board graphics is going to be your biggest limitation.

I think there is a problem with scale and draw distance. The radio message says "entering atmosphere" when it looks like the ship is almost on top of the gun. A ship that small would be invisible at the upper edge of the atmosphere, making that cine…

All three of my solar panels are connected and powered, and power is consumed from them while I'm doing things in the base. Their charge is drained over night while the water filter plant is doing its thing or I'm using the fabricator.

Did...did either of you read what I wrote?
"My base power only goes up to 50 short of what it shows it should." I.E. it only goes up to 125/175. Meaning the Bio Reactor is empty of it's 50 charge even though it's showing items in the slo… -
Yeah, you're right. I got that totally wrong. My bad.

I haven't gotten to the Lost River in this latest stable release, but in the last release, there were multiple new entrances, in addition to the blood kelp and blood kelp 2 entrances, into the lost river system. Did they remove them?

Yeah, that has become the issue. Stacks and stacks of gold, which is only required to make computer chips (maybe something else, can't remember), but hardly any silver, which is required for computer chips but also wiring kits.

Which is an interesting concept where hit points in games diverge from real life. In real life, hot water either almost burns you or burns you, right?
I guess you can get second and then third degree burns from hot water, in a complex mi… -
They'll be finagling resource balances until the end. The Trello page indicates they're aware of the difficulty and are attempting to rectify it.

I always build my main base near my spawn point which recently has been on the southern edge of the safe shallows near the intersection of kelp forest and grassy plateaus. There's a nice edge to hang your moon pool over, and a vent nearby for power.…

They can continue to develop and release updates for this game, a la Minecraft.
I mean, story-wise, aren't we getting rescued? Short of having to come back to the same planet for some reason and getting shot down a second time, a sequel … -
Until the future. I like it.

Naziing? Nazi-ing?
I enjoy language, and prefer to see it written in standard accepted form. I also understand that linguistic excursions and exceptional use are a constant and ever evolving thing. Any language is 50% its own history of … -
Explain this "world deletion trick"...I'm unfamiliar.

Sorry mate, no idea. Maybe ask this over in the bug forum?
When you say the PRAWN isn't in the game, you mean it isn't in your blueprint inventory, or the PRAWN pieces aren't in the world like they're supposed to be? -
Pretty sure they changed the Seamoth steering back after our feedback. And it wasn't forum feedback, but didn't they credit Jacksepticeye for the idea of one of the Cyclops upgrades? I suppose they could have already been working on it when he menti…

I feel like the devs are expecting us to do it old school like Lewis and Clark or Hernan DeSoto or Magellan. Technologically speaking in-game, your survival PDA has short-range sensors. There's no GPS satellites, and the PDA has little to no prior k…

Yes, that is true also. Both were glorious revelations when discovered.

Stalkers should defend nesting ground in family groups of two. The kelp forests provide ample prey, so should support several family groups

The aggression on an individual basis I can accept, but the ratio of predators to prey is WAY off from what would be naturally sustainable. Anybody ever read the Jurassic Park and Lost World books?
The predator to prey relationship looks… -
This phenomenon has come and gone over several updates. It seems mostly that the lifepod waits until you've built a base and then drifts off forever. I believe this is intentional. It is at least regularly occurring, to the point that that I've lear…

Did I say this already: It took me forever to find the second prop cannon fragment. I can't remember now in which wreck I finally found it, but it was the last one I found.

There's been a couple of first- and third-person games over the years that allow you to input a code that shows on your character model all of the things you're actually carrying, and it is often as ludicrous as you might imagine. The quartz crystal…
