Yeah, this happened to me too. I swear, one time I had to cut through at least 16 doors, leaving a big pile of cut-outs in the next room. It was kind of hilarious.

This seems to be happening to a lot of people. Always with pod 3. My latest save file has the same issue. I'm not even that close to it but the game freezes as soon as I try swimming more than a few meters into seemingly any direction now.

I appear to be having the same problem.
I tried drowning myself to get back to my base but I respawned in my lifepod instead and the game froze immediately. -
