Luckily I've somehow managed to break Windows Update, so I no longer have to care about stuff like this.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of issues? I remember UT2k4 would have serious timing issues after 1000 fps. -

Personally though, I think there isn't really any reason to go past 240hz. -

Percentage-increases still scale nicely enough, so I imagine going from 120 to 240 is not too far from 60 to 120. Personally, due to bandwidth and performance limits, I'd rather increase my resolution instead. -
With what weapon? MG is heavier than the rifle, and will therefore have worse jetpack performance.

The problem with this is that it is hard to create a race that has fun and unique gameplay and doesn't overlap with the playstyles of the other races.
In this instance, I don't think the drone gameplay would be very fun (I have to keep s… -
Seems pretty decent, tho I personally think it should be done w/o the regen. This is because: 1. Metab is still there, and 2. The fade shouldn't be compelled to change it's strategy to pull off the special kill. It won't blend in seamlessly with eve…

Nope, I tried it a while ago. Wasn't a fan of the prowler tho. Maybe I'll warm up to it, who knows. -
I think there's a cooldown for being knocked down, ie., you cant be knocked down until after you get back up.

In-game fps limiting is supposed to be the best solution, but often times it is implemented poorly and Rivatuner fps limiting usually ends up being better.

In SN I think I'm getting the hint thatthe aliens (not the kharaa) are psychic, so with that in mind, perhaps the next game can be focused aroundpsychic phenomena.

Would likely resonate with SN fans. -

@Obraxis , I mostly just watch from the sidelines, game has looked promising throughout development. Inb4 som1 mods in a multiplayer mode because why not.

Your attempts to dodge my points are cute honestly. I will say it one last time, as clearly, and as simply, as I can, so that you cannot possibly twist it:
Post-processing fx != gfx overhaul by any margin, the original … -
Wait what, NS2+ removes entities??? Was that toggleable or...?
Also, you can have competitive with visually-obscuring entities. I never understood since when did simplifying things == competitive, pro players should learn how to deal wit… -
Uhh, @IronHorse didnt you say the game defaults to 3 pre-rendered frames? And that modifying it via NVCP will just add even more?

isnt r_sync for vsync?

A post-process injector doesnt use much performance in *any* game unless you're using fx like AO/GI, and an FPS increase is not a graphics overhaul (but is ofc commendable). -

But yeah, keep praising UWE senpai. -

You didn't read my post -
Or have it less likely to swap you if you've been forced to a different team several times in a row.

I said *most*, didn't I? And bugfixes don't really qualify as graphics improvements. Don't so blindly defend your precious game. -
Nearly all of these graphics upgrades are just post-processing effects that I could implement with some random injector (and half of them make the game look worse), so this post shouldn't sound like it's much of an accomplishment.

I kind of want to, but I'm not a big fan of many of the non-optimization changes that have happened since UWE came back.

I assume then you've never heard of arena shooters? -
@BeigeAlert , I was obv referring to motion blur...
And the temporal AA in Doom, while still pretty damn good, has issues with moving/complex scenes. Pe… -

It does the same thing in the time domain as post-aa does in the spatial domain. I absolutely despise 90% of post-aa, and I am not the biggest fan of temporal-aa either.
