Overall, the Cyclops is ok with me. As I have written in other posts, I think the HUD concept is inappropriate for a slow moving submarine! HUD's are used in fighter planes where you can't afford to take your eyes off the view f… -
Just want to add my $.02 to this conversation:
They have totally missed (IMHO) the most needed feature: Situational-awareness data while in the camera views!
In the main use of this sub, you will be in camera mode a goodly portion … -
Glad to see serious work on Cyclops - but sorry - you really missed it AGAIN! The main HUD is now cluttered with huge buttons and controls - all of which could have been neatly laid out along the bottom of the screen. The status info is a big help…

U r all right... it is just that it seems like an easy fix that wood make the Cyclops so much more awesome. Sigh.
-
@Jamezorg: A rather bleak and bizarre definition of 'fun'!
-
HUGE Disappointment!! Yeah all the cool alien gun shit is nice - but the damn Cyclops still has the SAME lame camera-controls it had in September release. AND - going in a few minutes in Creative just to check the Cyclops out it crashed when I qu…

Well - you ARE being rude! You obviously didn't understand the point of my question, and such lame answer/suggestion as you have given simply underscores that. Sheesh!

You missed my point - I KNOW I can go on the web and find info - I'm looking for the how the GAME is supposed to let us know where stuff is. As it stands, if you DON'T go outside the game - you could spend a lifetime wandering around at random and …

How about getting some decent nav controls for the Cyclops and its cameras? Would like to get camera controls on the 5 hot buttons, (with no text on the view). Having a decent data-panel view across the bottom of the screen, independent of camera vi…

Well this "fanboy" (whatever the hell THAT is) says: DUMP the PRAWN - the Seamoth and "Super Seamoth" should RULE!
-
When you select the camera views by clicking on the big camera icon on the left - the screen changes to a camera view. Where the Compass readout is, at the top of the screen, there are the instructions about "aswd" - etc. Also there is a useless …

@ImmortalHunter: Oh boy! So glad you started this thread.
My big wish list for Cyclops is for how data is displayed, and how the cameras are control… -
My big prob with the PRAWN is getting it to and from locations where it can be use. It has to be taken in the Cyclops and DROPPED into play. And then it is a PITA to get back in the Cyclops. A "Super Seamoth" could have all the abilities of the PRAW…

I have a newly built PC; Skylake processor at 4Ghz, 16G ram, Win 10, both SSD & SATA drives, and one Nvidia 960 (2G ram). I just found out about the FPS option on Steam, and gave it a go on my Sept build-now-in-Bones. Was surprised to see a lot…

@Thosar: I wasn't suggesting a MAP in the vehicles - but COORDINATES! They are just a slightly more detailed bit of info: WHERE you are in addition to what DIRECTION y…
-
@Myrm: The camera views in the Cyclops are cluttered with "how-to-use" text which is really unnecessary - or could be put elsewhere. Once in a camera view - you lose t…
-
Well - have to answer my own question: Nope - no fixes! The camera views are still the same. Bummer.
-
@Alrekr_Ironhand: I don't rejoice in your "pain" - but glad to see somebody else has noticed that "the emperor has no cloths"!
I've been dutifully … -
Yes - that seems to be an excellent 'nuance' to help keep us informed...
-
Yep - seeing that too! Just brought my Sept-saved game into the Bone Yard release, and got the gray'd out PDA. Also it came back after a save-restart, but haven't checked for it's return.
-
@EvilSmoo - that is exactly what I did going from August to September. With the console cmds it isn't so bad. I did see a You zTube vid where he just deleted certain …

My gaming persona is Harrzack which was a character in an early issue ('76?) of Heavy Metal magzine. He flew around on a pterodactyl and did very cool stuff. To make the avatar, I scanned the lead page of one of the episodes where he outsmarting tha…

I got the Seamoth Mk3 Depth thing - so I can go to 900 meters... Maybe I should have got the PRAWN first!
-
@EvilSmoo - heh - I never specified what race the new wrecks would come from.... alien (to us) could provide some pretty amazing loot!
-
Well - figured I'd be "boo'd" off the forum for that sage observation! I just have found the PRAWN so clunky to move aroun…

I wonder if where you are when a save is done makes a difference. I have 1 base, and generally save from inside it. I've noticed that if I do a save from the Seamoth or from the Cyclops, "bad things happen". So far I haven't lost a sub, but that do…
-
Further confirmation of this - after getting the above slow-down, with seamoth in cyclops, I swam a good distance away, and soon redraw performance returned. Then took the seamoth to a deep spot (just over 300m) and went back to Cyclops. It's mov…

OMG! DUDES! - having some data on where you are at any given time is NOT A FREEKIN' CHEAT! They are just a bunch of numbers that only YOU can give meaning to!
My God - you guys sure want to make an easy task hard!
First - all I'm suggesting is to display coordinates as a running display at the bottom of the screen. No extra clutter, no Buoy-name-distance-data... And don't forget - this IS a …@zemangaka - I'm (so far) not a big fan of the PRAWN suit.
Your 3rd drawing in the Vehicle catageory, a drone, looks like my idea of an advanced Seamoth with …
