yeah well the video is good but i wonder if u can belly slide and make the lamp fall on your head or it could be a trap for a marine and make the lamp for on there head anyway i have got to stop talking about lamps the video was good it gave us an idea of what ns2 is about a little and yeah nice work NS2 team!
OMFG!!!! I cannot stop laughing. The devs definately have an amazing sense of humor. Can't wait to see the fade reveal. It will be epic for sure. They should do it in the style of close up camera angles like the nano suit in that Crysis intro movie.

Am i the only one here thinking the Fade was just pulling an April fools on the gorge by cutting down that light? You can actually see a wire going towards the fade from the lamp when it falls down as if he were pulling it down.

poor gorge... all because that big belly :( btw the mouth is too big, isn't it? almost 50% of the screen is covered.... that and big belly could be a big problem escaping from bad marines.
I'll honestly be a little upset if the belly slide doesn't make it into the game. That would be an awesome mechanic if you could do it down slopes, ramps, and stairs to help get away. Imagine being chased down a long corridor and sliding away to freedom like a penguin on the ice. Hah! It would kind of be reminiscent of skiing in Tribes where you are actually continually jumping but it increases your downhill momentum.

I'd be upset too, looking at an old screenshot of my Alien start, where I built the tram with a downslope especially for the gorge to slide into its hive !
Had to get that out of my system. Now, that Gorge really needs to brush his teeth!
And the skulk walking into the vent looked really cool for some reason. I thought the video was great. Had a good laugh.
But one thing that bothered me was the walking animation. It's as if it's not quite synched up. The feet that are supposed to be in contact with the floor still slide forward during the process. It's as if the forward speed of the gorge is slightly faster than the animation can keep up with. I know it's early, but I hope this will be dealt with.
Absolutely fantastic. Now after seeing this, belly sliding had damned well better be in the game for the gorge, lol so awsome.
And we need maps with long flights of stairs so a group of gorges can do a slide run against a team of marines heading up the stairs and knock them flat of their feet like bowling pins :D
