1) Suspicions confirmed - Fade is small, you can see it by the shadow skewing. 2) Awesome vid! Hilarious... just as fun as a true reveal. 3) In NS2, there aren't skulk races... there are Gorge belly slide races! Down long and winding slides... maybe I should practice spark to make a course.
I really thought the April fools prank was supposed to be an empty news page, and everyone was just playing along. The video was a pleasant April 2nd surprise for me.
Hey cool! After seeing this though, I don't want to be seeing gorges jumping in-game — it just wouldn't look right! And imagine climbing back up those stairs...
For two years, I've been boasting on the possibilities in "Natural Selection 2" with my friends. Being a huge fan on the first mod, it has been exciting to wait to see the end results. When the first video of the "Creep" was released, I was there... When drawings were posted on the "Gorge"... I was there. Participating from a quiet distance, I've waited to see if Natural Selection 2 could live up to all my expectations. And I haven't been let down since.
Nine months ago, I purchased it. I gloated and danced my little dance, being one step closer to heaven. Now we're not far off from it's Alpha Release and I'm not sure if I can stop my head from exploding into a million messy pieces of Sunshine, Happiness and Smiles. Let put it this way... I was born in 1981... and been playing video games since Atari 2600, and I don't think I've ever been this excited about a single games release.
I sure hope the belly slide stays! Skulk animation going around the corner was nice and smooth congrats.

This is totally, going to rock.
Haha! Me too! Unless the Comodore 64 predates de Atari 2600. memory getting fuzzy at my old age.
I am wondering though, since this looks like it was made in the Cinematic Editor (like the original NS2 teaser), how much of the animation was hand-crafted and how much is actually going to be in the game...
Haha, the Gorge is even cuter. Love the tired expression, and the yawning, haha, reminds me of Garfield. By the way, LOVE the animation in this game, it's superb.

Hellgate London had me more hyped up than this game.... But thats because the expectations were set so high and It just went straight to the ###### hole after that :( This is why I dont hype games anymore and I just wait till I can play the alpha or beta of them all :)

How come that since the Onos reveal up until the current vids, there hasn't been any infestation on the outro logo? I find the lack of this infestation disturbing, making me think dynamic infestation is scrapped (or no longer that dynamic as hyped :P)

Cory explained this one time and stated that it has everything in to do with shortening the videos and nothing to do with removal of DI, etc. They just dont want a 15-20 second logo in these simple teaser videos.

It's simply too long, DI is still in.

All of the animations in the movie are in game animations. There weren't any made specifically for the purposes of the video, just some were reused in different ways to fit with the events.

That Fade reveal BETTER HAPPEN TODAY, darn it!
Or not really. It doesn't have to happen, what with April 9th being only a week away.
<3 the gorgie.
