My guess is that they will be bigger and bulkier....more like the planetside MAX exo-suits. Dual mini-gun and lockdown mode seems inspired by the Terran republic MAX.
Power suits are inherently cool so I'll probably be ok with whatever they go with. But what I always see before me when the exo is mentioned is that lifter thing from Aliens.

I was always a fan of how the weapons vs speed issue was handled in fear combat. You could holster your weapons with a huge sprint increase where you could do hand attacks or if jumping into your enemy land a nice round house or flying kick into them. I'm not saying ns2 should use hand combat but to holster to gain speed and auto draw your gun with small delay of course when you press your fire key. I'm not in favor of thrusting my leg into a skulks mouth at all. While we are at it, hold the key for rifle butt down should hold it in a "block" position minimizing damage from the attacker.

Also, the recent reduction in the spore's range makes spikes and spores even more redundant. Their roles need to be unique. Spores should be an area denial attack and spikes should be close-range finisher. Right now, spores are just an extra thing you do for more damage while you attack with spikes.
What does that mean? Multithreading is coming and noone told us? Btw: I discovered that on a listenserver Client and Server vm run in the same thread! Because normally they would run on different computers, I don't see what the problem would be to run them in different threads. Right now on a multicore processor, you get a lot better performance using server.exe and then connecting to the local server on your computer instead of using the in-game create button.

DO not enable crossfire. The game does not (yet) support it. Then disable all forced AA in your Catalyst drivers. Then all shall be well.

Now we just need miniguns being usable by a standard marine, but movement being slow as heck. Cat packs giving them default speed.
