Think it would be fair if Marines had to re-purchase their exo/jp once they died (ofc they get their points back).
Otherwise, I dont really think its a good idea to do a hard limit. I think the whole alien team going Onos is a valid strategy ..
But yeah, maybe incorporate the xmenu and buildmenu stuff from NS1 so players can use all the structures and have more options? That will make it a lot more interesting than introducing hard caps. Otherwise it will always stay a mod where rounds take roughly 10 to 20 minutes. Maybe you want it that way but I kinda enjoyed the badass NS1 combat games with xmenu/buildmenu that could go on for 40 minutes (and didnt really get that boring due to a lot of upgrade options/paths and buildmenu).
You need to cross off filter modded and you will see all the servers running combat and other mods, after you do that filter by game so you get combat servers on top of the list.
you unclick filter modded but you still see every other server and no way to filter crappy normal ns2 out so you can see just modded servers. Yea the browser sucks.
true server browser needs more work and specially when it comes to viewing the modded servers/games its not fun to look at all those awsome servers and they are empty because most people can't find them, every Q&A live stream people are still asking for combat not knowing its already out.
a note to server OPs I uploaded two new combat maps tram hub and docking station to steam workshop if you are interested in adding them to your servers.
co_faceoff have been updated with some layout changes and fixes and it now has a overview file to go with it huge thanks to Rudy.cz for devoting some time to help with it, it wont be published now as Jim needs to take down the old version and upload the new but expect it soon.

Hello, I have successfully installed a combat server and got it to run for the first map it loads from the start but as soon as I change the map or when the time runs out and its time for a map change its switches from "<b>Combat</b>" mode to "<b>NS</b>" what setting/settings am I missing out on?

If onos/exo are getting limited, any chance we can give some of the lower aliens an expensive but decent battle upgrade, id really like to have a battle gorge, nothing too extreme, just more armour and damaging spit, maybe even a different skin as well?
Eventually a few more upgrade possibility's would be nice, perhaps even a build menu?
A little status update: JimWest and I have some time to do some bug fixing today so we're hoping to get a big release out later today. More news as it becomes available!

Ok guys we just got a new version out there on the workshop. Combat is officially at Version 2 now! Stay tuned for a changelog but hopefully this one should fix a lot of the major issues people have been raising. Let us know what you think...
Server ops: one point to note is that you shouldn't have to copy files from your computer any more. Mod auto-downloading is now working for Combat dedicated servers (We have removed the 'build 228' bindings for now until linking to a specific version is fixed in Spark). Just shut down and re-launch your server to get the newest version.

Try changing the line to read -config_path "c:\213.163.83.194_port_27015\ns2\Combat\" ? The path for the config_path has to be absolute in order for it to work.

eXo, you need to add the mod to your mapcycle.json
<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->{
"mods": [ "<modcode>" ],
"mode": "order",
"time": 120,
"maps": [ "ns2_veil", "ns2_mineshaft", "ns2_tram", "ns2_summit", "ns2_docking", "ns2_refinery" ]
}<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->
This will tell the server every time it changes maps to continue to use the mod. Pretty sure that is all you need.
Eventually a few more upgrade possibility's would be nice, perhaps even a build menu?
