So true. I know with a formed group and a good start of the game (aka push) marines can with but with pug vs pug aliens win most of the time.
While the changes look fabolous i'm with those guys about the balancing. But isnt this patch a warm-up for the big content update that will bring a lot of new stuff and balancing?

Well I somehow thought that THIS patch is that one with new stuff and balancing. Does anyone know when that really "big one" is coming?
Right now it is in favor of aliens and I have nothing against fixing things, just don't like how unbalanced it was before and now it will be much worse :-D I hope I am wrong.

IMO, a lot of the perceived alien win rate, is because of the steam sale when new players flooded in and automatically thought marines would be easier to learn. Aliens always win on a guy who wonders away from his teamates and is all alone, that's what new players do.
Join a non-rookie server and it should feel a lot more balanced. It feels very very balanced to me especially in a good game when players know what they are doing. I did one earlier that lasted 2 hours, and EVERYONE stayed in it for the long haul all 20 players LOL

2 hours? Jeeze longest game I've heard of. Must have been frustrating for the losing team.
In any case did anyone see any performance increase from this patch? I would test it but I am away from home atm.

Thanks for not going overboard with the cyst changes and most of all for fixing gorge spit! Also, thanks for fixing up the DOT and hydras effecting combat state. Lots of fixes! Thanks a bunch for all of them. This may shape up to be one of the best builds so far. I still haven't played it yet though, so I might still return with a string of ######y complaints :P
I change my Mind, patch did nothing really new. Engine still make lags you don't see, even with a ping of 30...i hope you fix that engine some day, no other game has that lag like yours. If im in cover, i should be in cover.

It turns out the problem is on my end: I'm using the knife from the Workshop. It slashes faster than the axe and the health goes down accordingly. Of course, the knife doesn't actually have higher DPS, so alien buildings need a couple more whacks to actually die with the knife.

Unless you have to like run 30 flights of stairs you should be good for #1 :-D
So the Vote Concede option is completely useless seeing as there's no feedback or prompt to other players that someone on your team is suggesting to concede. It's literally the same as pressing F4 and waiting for other people to get the message. Why not at the very least have some kind of global chat say "1 player has voted to concede the round, requires X more votes"? I appreciate the addition of a concede vote but it's actually not achieving anything on top of what the game already offered.

Unless you have to like run 30 flights of stairs you should be good for #1
