I don't want to create a novel. I though It would be interesting to see the reactions of different parties when another element joins the fun literally from nowhere. Truly, it would be a great thing to see a more direct approach from the, lets say, NVM party, when faced with something as this, while other parties do their moves, like the inclusionist (?) reefback, would do.

Sorry thought you were another Julian1337331nailuJ type of person sorry for any hostility

Btw we already have a warper party and a scuba Steve party so no idea where your story would fit in

That's ok. I tried to do something akin to someone "dropping by parachute" on a place where such hotly debate was going on. Would be the classic "blind man on the middle of a shooting". That's why I posted it here. If it become too annoyng, I can create another thread, likely name Grand...election - side stories, and post there, no worries.

The AAA has announced it will lend food sources from the Grand Reef Uber-farms. The proposed plan, part humanitarian movement and part political plan, will expand the AAA's farmland in the Grand Reef and use the harvests of 13% of their plots to donate to any humans still alive on the planet. A) @Casual_Player I hope you like eating membrain tree-bits, and B ) the party's proposed extension of land is still awaiting response. Use of land previously has resulted in moderate desolation, though a small path is claimed to be vital to the migration habits of sea treaders. Additionally, the food generated from such farms has been used in the past to solve some hunger issues in the Grand Reef.

Helo? The pounding stopped. Luckily, the walls haven't been breached, but oxygen inside here is dropping down quick. I think one of the alien nightmares destroyed my solar plant. I-I'm going outside to repair it.

N-LAP have indeed heard about this stranded human, and we have decided that if he is willing to give up all of his electronic equipment we will gladly hand over near unlimited food and water resources. Recent events have lead us to believe that Humans eat their fish after they have been subjected to high temperatures, and drink non-salted water. We will use thermal vents to cook your fish and we will obtain fresh water from springs on the nearby island.

All this, survivor, for giving up your electronic equipment. You could have a home in the Lost River; you can breathe with mobile brain coral and eat cooked fish for ten weeks, before either a rescue vessel arrives to pick you up or we have to leave you on said nearby island. We cannot afford to take care of an outsider for too long, and it would not exactly benefit the push into the Grand Reef.

Our laws have not yet been put in place, although as I stated in another discussion, we do plan high expectations, and we aim to have these laws put in place by Sunday, when we will hopefully have a strong foothold in the Grand Reef.

Survivor, we do hope you accept N-LAP's offer.

(I thought I'd also share N-LAP's upcoming laws here, for people who don't follow the Subnautica Constitutional Convention thread)

    1) Anyone seen using electronics of any kind will be fined on their first two abuses, then imprisoned on the third, serving up to five months.
    2) N-LAP falls under All fish have the right to pursue prosperity, however we will not allow fish to go to waste. Killing for the sake of killing will result in prison time.
    3) We will not practise the Right to Die bill whatsoever. Anyone seen using DNA stores will be fined upward of 20,000 Credits. Out-of-use DNA stores will be sold to the highest bidder of other governments.

These are the first 3 laws N-LAP will put into place, starting with the Lost River, hopefully on Sunday. We are expanding slightly, through the Lost River, usually upwards. We have torn the GCSC into two parts, for they have handed over to us the Deep Grand Reef entrance to the biome; half of their number is in said biome, and half are with the Warpers down by the abandoned base. This gives us the opportunity to expand even further across the Lost River, and we continue to do so as I speak. Like I said, as of Sunday N-LAP will be back in the fight for supremacy, I can promise you that much.

As a note. The Republic of Koosh will not accept any further Human survivors. One is enough to deal with.

    # Extra-dimensional Stranded Human

I'm doing this. I'm really doing this.

    Dear representative of the N-LAP.

I'm sorry to say, but I'm in no position to give you a definitive answer to your offer. This situation is motivated primary because of my ignorance of the current status of both the Aurora Incident plus related events, and the condition of the parties here present - in which they organizations are stable or not, how they behave with one another.

With this as justification, I respectfully request from you, and from the leaders of the other parties, time, so I may conduct a investigation surrounding the Aurora Incident, and related events, and, if possible, this "Precursor Weapon" that recently came to my attention. This is justified for allowing me to have an educated opinion, and answer your offer accordingly.

Unfortunatelly, I can't give up my current technology, at least for now. I'll need to create materials here (and for that, extract the resources from the area), in order to conduct this investigation. I believe that, with the minimun required materials, I may salvage or even completelly recycle abandoned structures built by previous humans, action which will definivelly diminish or even nullify my impact on the ecossystem. Also, itens like the Water Filtration Machine allows me to have water adequate for my body,on great quantities, while also providing salt, which is used on other itens. As the matter of a food source, I request that I can search for food on the sea life, keeping to a minimun possible my impact.

I'm willing to fully cooperate with you, and everyone else, so we may have the best outcome possible.

    Kind regards

Just gonna put this out there before writing this: I predict this will be a MASSIVE post. I've got a lot of things to cover, so sorry in advance!

Ah, I see @Casual_Player . We will give you time enough to carry out your investigations, and can indeed confirm for you that the weapon does exist. It is directly west from the nose of the Aurora. We had a hunch that it was that which shot the Aurora down, and we hope that you can confirm it for us. If you do I hope that we at N-LAP and you, Human, can be allies in this debate. It proves even further that technology cannot be trusted, and it will only do harm to the environment.

Surrounding the island the weapon stands on, however, are Reaper Leviathans; member of the extremist party known as the NVP (National Violence Party). In order to achieve safe passage to the weapon, the NVP will need to stand down. @ResolutionBlaze , I ask that you allow this stranded human passage to and from the Mountain Island. He will hopefully be in and out in a flash, and there is no cause for violence. It would be phenomenal if you could leave him completely untouched on his journey. It may solve the Aurora problem once and for all, and we know at N-LAP that the ship crashed directly into NVP territory. It would be only a good thing to let him past.

We also ask that the Warpers of the Health/Safety Organisation allow the survivor to carry out his studies uninterrupted. @Enderguy059 , I ask that you allow this survivor to continue his work without disruption from the Warpers surrounding the weapon. It would lead to a better ocean without the gun or the Aurora, so it would benefit everyone; it would benefit the greater shoal. Speaking of shoal...

GCSC: It seems you are in a bit of a problem, am I right? You owned a large section of the Deep Grand Reef and the southern border of the Lost River. We asked that you hand over your footholds in the Lost River, and you refused, giving us only the Lost River - Deep Grand Reef entrance, whilst you kept the Precursor base for yourself. Although we had no need of the Precursor base int he first place, it seems as though your bulk of land has been split in two. In between these two chunks of GCSC-controlled area, there is the Deep Grand Reef entrance controlled by N-LAP. Your area in the Lost River is much smaller than that in the DGR, and it is not long before the area in the Lost River is out of business. @phantomfinch , In our eyes you have three options:
1: Allow the GCSC-controlled areas of the Lost River to become independent. It will be a self-sufficient state under the complete control of the GCSC (and the Health/Safety Organisation, although we do not want them to get caught up in this too much). You will harvest your own food, you will carry out your own laws, so forth.
2: Hand over the land to us. This will allow for the GCSC's economy to skyrocket due to having less unneeded land in the Lost River (unless you do need it for something or other). It will increase our borders, and the Health/Safety Org. may keep their base.
3: Keep the area under GCSC collective rule, and watch as your economy crumbles, your people immigrate and the area becomes uncontrolled.

Again, completely your choice. Keep it if you must, hand it over if you must, make it independent if you must; each and every way benefits the two of us in some regard, and at N-LAP we wish for all parties to feel as though we are working together (although some more than others).

This has been a public service announcement from N-LAP

    Thank you.

We allowed you that part of the lost river for two reasons

    1. The area is directly available 3 shoal staging areas (both blood kelps and deep grand reef) incase you are using the area for the betterment of your species or we see you as a threat, which we do not at this point

    2. We only wanted the area for th protection of the precursor base and the protection of our comrades that reside there

Also the RCS (river communist sector is its name now) has access access to the lava zones which also contain more precursor bases. The food issue might be a problem in the future but I'm pretty sure the blood crawlers have enough food from the aurora wrecks.

We understand. We see your proposal as a merging of choices one and two, and we accept. The RCS will become independent from the GCSC, but not completely, if you understand what I mean. We would have only allowed you trade routes through our areas for a maximum of five months under any other circumstance, but now we will allow you trade from the greater GCSC regions and the RCS for upward of seven years. This will hopefully be enough time for the RCS to become somewhat independent, although probably not completely.

I am glad we could come to an understanding, if there are no problems concerning trade?

I also await responses from NVP leaders and Health/Safety Org. Officials (this is just so that people don't forget about the offers that are up, if maybe a flood of posts suddenly come through :) )

One of the blood keeps leads from the tree branch place (can't remember the name) down a brine water fall and into our sector. So a trade route with the N-LAP would be good but the shoal can sustain without the need of trade from the different entrances.

(I think both of us are getting confused by boarders. The way I picture is on the first waterfall towards our sector there is your boarder ends ,where the mound with the glowing tentacles things. Between that and the last waterfall netween the precursor base and the tree there is the neutral zone. The blood kelp entrence leads into th neutral zone via the water fall in game.)

Also I never said they would be independent it's a sector they belong to the GCSC but it can govern what happens in the territory with the greater shoals approval

Of course. I forgot about the second Blood Kelp, and this may also be a trading route for you if need be.

For the RCS to be completely affiliated and still a part of the Greater Shoal is too great of a threat for us, when it comes to economy and positioning. It is an enormous threat, and having a communist party this large and this powerful could result in some tricky situations. I will, however, allow you this area of the Lost River, free of charge. We want nothing but peace with the GCSC, and as long as you are able to keep this new sector running we will support you, although, sadly, I doubt it will last very long. We hope for a miracle to happen, and that the RCS is not lost. It is very poorly placed, mind you, near NVP borders, and is quite far from the nearest GCSC sector.

We hope you find prosperity, GCSC, and we will gift you anything (within reason) to better your cause.

On the announcement of Earth's annual "fish of the year award," the Subnautican government wishes to express their full support in this Earth Newspaper's choice. An astounding candidate, the choice truly does speak for itself. The Subnautican government will show its support for all sub-aquatic lifeform-based awards, no matter where in the universe.

After preparations, I'm now ready to begin my investigation on Aurora. For that, I'll request access to the main body of the ship, as well as for the scattered wrecks across the region. Because of this, I also humbly request permission to travel through your biomes. I'll do my best to keep my interactions with the ecossystem as minimum as possible.

N-LAP has some great news to share with you all!

N-LAP has made some vital steps in securing the second Blood Kelp biome, which is one of the only entrances to the Lost River not controlled by N-LAP, and we feel it is one of the most important. This biome is rather central, and many parties have unlimited access to it. Now we have made some bold moves in taking this biome. Since many of our allies have made their homes here, it was rather easy to sway the people into wanting us as their biome's leader. Now (if no one wishes to contend with N-LAP) we shall secure the biome.
Srsly, if you wanna fight for your claim to the Blood Kelp that leads into the small little Lost River entrance, do it, don't be afraid!

and the blue/red is the uneasy boarder between us and the neo-luddites

the map index explain the lost river entrences and other things

(so neo luddites i think you may want to retract your annexation of the second blood kelp biome seeing as the primary biome is far within our boarders so you coudnt possibly stop a counter attack)

the arrows also show migration towards strategic points

    purple for warpers

    blue for luddites

and soon to be red for us

Dang, are we gonna see a Subnautica war? Actually, that would be a pretty cool idea, a thread dedicated to a Risk style of gaining territory with all the creatures having different strengths and weaknesses. @subnauticambrian, this one would be up to you, you're better at making things make sense.

EDIT: Oh, I see that you've already beaten me to that idea.
That's... that's okay... I'll have another creative idea... someday...

Wait I'm confused do you want me to go red dawn (1984 version) on your ass?

Wait how would a war be won if it's just posting pictures on one sides battles? (New poll maybe and let public decide who won) (even then it wouldn't make sense because it doesn't represent the forces at work)

I feel like a new thread's pretty necessary, since it would be hard keeping track of the debates and a war in the same one. On the other hand people might need to keep up to date with both threads simultaneously just to see what's going on with their parties. I think we should wait a bit before making it (unless you've already made it; I haven't checked) so that we can just polish up alliances and so forth.

Now it's time to get in character. (Skin to the third paragraph if you don't want to hear a recount of how this war started :) )

This is a message to all members of N-LAP. A new survivor recently arrived at our planet, and due to sour negotiations with the NVP and other parties regarding this human we felt that it was only right to rejoin the race for the Grand Reef. We expanded into the Lost River, thanks to SAHP and other smaller parties gifting us land. We then thought it in our best interests to negotiate with the GCSC in hoes to secure the southern stretch of the Lost River. We succeeded somewhat, and they surrendered the Lost River Grand Reef entrance. They split their lands in two; the GCSC and the RCS. We attempted negotiations with the RCS, in hopes that they would either give up their land or make it an independent state. They refused, and created trade routes through the nearby Blood Kelp biome to their larger areas. We saw this as an immediate threat, and bending of the rules, as we stated we would not let trade routes run through our land. We have even more recently began taking steps in securing this second Blood Kelp biome, so that these trade routes can be squashed for good. In our running for this biome, we have seen some disturbing things. We have reason to believe that the RCS is preparing for war, and with them the greater GCSC.

They have detected our larger plan, that would have been in motion by tomorrow. I will not surrender details, but I can tell you that, if we were allowed to continue with operations, by Sunday we would have had a large part of the Grand Reef under our control. We have expanded into the Deep Grand Reef quite extensively over the past three days, but now we will not focus on expanding our borders, but securing them. Now for Sunday we have different plans. We are certain that by tomorrow afternoon, we will be at war with the GCSC.

Now I call out for allies int his conflict. N-LAP have secured many strategic vantage points in the south, such as the Lost River and Deep Grand Reef, but the GCSC have higher ground in the north. We will deal with the RCS ourselves, but we ask that SAHP and the Republic of Koosh help us with the threat in the north. We have been nothing but allies for as long as I can remember. You allowed us to have land in the Lost River; it is the reason we are where we are. We were to give you rewards for handing over such a valuable point, but out of the kindness of your heart you refused. Now we are standing before a much greater threat. I call out to SAHP representatives. @subnauticambrian , @dealwithitdog , I ask that the Republic of Koosh fight alongside us, for the greater good of the ocean.

Although I am certain they will refuse, I ask that the Health/Safety Party fight alongside us. I understand that you may refuse, but under NVP control your super weapon means nothing. You can barely get to it; it is only because of very lopsided negotiations I was able to make them stand down for @Casual_Player . If you fight alongside us, and abandon the GCSC, we will break the NVP once and for all, and allow you safe passage back to your island.

I think we're gonna try and expand our borders, since the annexing looks promising. We've got smaller borders, and the creatures of the Blood Kelp would more logically favour N-LAP, so I think we're gonna go through with it to a: expand our borders and b: trap the RCS
