I would back off just a small bit. He is a kid after all. You've gone from constructive criticism to bullying quite fast. I have to agree with you though, correct grammar is a must have to live in society. Continue with caution.

It has become increasingly clear that this government is going nowhere fast. The current administration is silent, there's an anarchist warmonger trying to overthrow our government, and problems still remain everywhere. Therefore, it is with a heavy heart I have to announce that the Koosh Zone will be forming our own ecosystem. We will be happy to initiate trade with you, but we will be governed separately, by a democracy. Any of those who do not condone senseless anarchy are welcome to join us, and as a show of good faith, we will contain the Human to keep him from harming our oceans any more.

We are very sorry to do this, but given the circumstances we saw no decent alternative. Goodbye, my fellow fish.

    SAHP out.

As a creature indigenous to the Blood Kelp and Lost River, which are both extremely close to the Grand Reef, we have had no say when it comes to being tied up in this conflict. We are now pinned between the GCSC's atrocities and the EPCA's general stubbornness. We know by now, I think, that N-LAP are far behind the competition, and there is no winning for us, and that whatever the next Grand Reef government may be, we will have to fall in line with it. The only option we have is to attempt to take the Lost River from the Mesmer's hands. We are abandoning the Grand Reef, and allowing the larger parties to fight over control of it.

These are N-LAP's new orders of buisness:

    1. Retrieve our Grassy Plateau representatives from the area before there are further confrontations with the EPCA in the area.
    2. Diffuse any rumours concerning the riots in the Deep Grand Reef several months ago.
    3. Take the Lost River from SAHP's hands (if their representatives are willing to cooperate).
    4. Live a happy, tech-free life in the Lost River, hopefully alongside the wildlife.

@dealwithitdog . I reach out to you know. You have taken the Koosh biome in the north, and since you have dominance over this large space we beg that you hand over the Lost River to N-LAP. In exchange we are willing to offer the Ultra-Hard metal alloy from the nearby Precursor base, and are also willing to pay good money for the area. We beg of you to hand it over, or all hopes for N-LAP are lost.

This has been a public service announcement from N-LAP.

    Thank you.

We will gladly cede the territory to you, and only want a quarter of what you offer. We have no need for the LR, and have no qualms giving it to you.

    End of Week Update

Now, with most of the political offices filled out, there remains one final opportunity, one chance to obtain an extra-ordinary office. That is... The Subnautican Senate elections! There are several incumbents this year, but with the election scene just barely underway, there is room for newcomers. Bernie Hoverfish
    4acavmyfltee.jpg
has announced that he will be running this year, as well as a representative from the AAA. However, this is usually the point in the campaign where new candidates announce they are running. Additionally, seeing as the ballots are relatively empty this year, candidates have a near-guarantee that they will be included in the final vote.

So, FYI, this means anyone can decide to run if they want to!

We are happy to announce that we have much of the Lost River in our possession, thanks to negotiations with SAHP. We discovered, however, that the southern entrance (to the Deep Grand Reef) is under GCSC control. We wish to negotiate with leaders of this party to attempt to retake the southern edge of our biome. And, with the inevitable uprising from the NVP at hand, we wish to return to the election.

@phantomfinch I wish to negotiate. Allow us the southern edge of the Lost River and we shall give you resources in return.

Not to forget that the NVP owns the directly-adjacent ALZ and ILZ, @Jamezorg. There may be border disputes.

I'm afraid that I cannot accept your proposal, this would give the neo-luddite party too much power and unrestricted access from the deep grand reef to the north biomes. A compleatly controled lost river biome would also result in unrestricted access to the precursor base located there. Another reason why is because of the 4 different party that reside there: neo-Luddites, blighter representatives, health and safety and Mesmer party all reside in the lost river so no one party should ever be able to control it.

As a counter offer I propose sectors to be put in place in the lost river for each of its sub biome, you may have your entrance to the deep grand reef but the shoal will never leave our comrades base completely unguarded.

The skull and bones field will be the neutral zone to and from the blood kelp. The skull will serve as a reminder that war will result in nothing but death

The Mesmers have agreed to hand large portions of the Lost River to us, so thanks to SAHP we already have control of the eastern borders of the Bone Field. Although we do see some benefits in leaving the Field uncontrolled, we see more benefits in actually seizing this opportunity. As one of the four Natural Wonders of 4546B (Giant Skeleton, Ghost Tree, Mushroom Tree, Floating Island) it would be a waste to leave it alone. We are currently taking steps to control the Bone's Field, and we do want to leave the old base and ILZ corridor for the GCSC and the Health/Safety Org. . We thank you, however, for handing over to us the entrance to the Deep Grand Reef.

N-LAP are making progress towards a Grand Reef without technology, and have started strong with the sweep of the Lost River (if no one wishes to contend for the Bone's Field). We were out of the running for a good few months, but now we are coming back, stronger than ever.

This has been a public service announcement from N-LAP.

    Thank you.

    # Extra-dimensional Stranded Human

    *incoming radio message
H-Hello? Is anyone there? M-My name is James Anderson, Alterra engineer id #97612-56. I've been sent here after I accidentally went through a portal opened by a purple...thing. I've managed to salvage some metal and quartz, and, for now I'm hiding at my base here. There's some reefbacks apparentelly dead at some distance fromwhere I am. Please, if anyone is listening, send help! I never see these creatures before, and I can't exit here.
    - Pounding sounds
Oh God, please, come here quick! I-I have a stasis rifle, and a repulsion cannon at ready, but I don't know how long I will last.

Make a new post if you want to create a novel. This is a place of politics

I don't want to create a novel. I though It would be interesting to see the reactions of different parties when another element joins the fun literally from nowhere. Truly, it would be a great thing to see a more direct approach from the, lets say, NVM party, when faced with something as this, while other parties do their moves, like the inclusionist (?) reefback, would do.

Btw we already have a warper party and a scuba Steve party so no idea where your story would fit in

That's ok. I tried to do something akin to someone "dropping by parachute" on a place where such hotly debate was going on. Would be the classic "blind man on the middle of a shooting". That's why I posted it here. If it become too annoyng, I can create another thread, likely name Grand...election - side stories, and post there, no worries.
