The only way sensory can be good is if you have a team willing to spend resources on building them near key locations. This rarely happens, which explains why sensory is used the least.

Not even counting the fact that you shoot yourself in the foot for the 2nd hive, even if you do get the jump on marines, you will still die. Try playing on a server with decent marines. Marines rush one hive before you can get any upgrades. The fight over the second hive is completely based on marines vs upgraded skulks. You can ambush a lone marine, or even a small group, but when the real numbers start rolling in, your no hitpoint arse does not cut it.
You cloak on the ceiling... You do not jump down right away, as they will still be in the "alert" stage of entering a room. You wait for them to run by a bit, and jump down. Marine hears you, and you are cut to ribbons. Ouch.
I have tried all chamber combinations, and I still think DMS is best.
Movement first can be a viable choice, but your gorges turn into walking "shoot me!" signs... <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd--> You're an idiot...
Ever built a SC network? For your newbie mind, it's very simple. Just put up SC every where on the map within range of each other. The best SC network is one where you can run every where on the map without EVER going uncloak. And if you get a chance, put them in vents too just to protect them that much more.
SC is a great 1st hive, but you DEFINETLY need dc for the 2nd, and in a reasonable period of time... With in the first five minutes of the game, higher lifeforms come up and they need DC. But with SC, getting up a cloaking network and having skulks ambush rines non stop is the worst thing you can do to rines.
Besides, with SoF, get a few people to watch the blips and the map of the game. A few commanders for aliens is better than one commander for rines... SoF is a great tool to plan attacks and get a quick advantage on the maps by sneaking past rines or securing parts of the map you know they haven't been yet.
Focus works good with the SC network. It's good with skulks and lerks, and in some rare cases fades, not for onos though. You have to be accurate and you must get the first shot off. Just sit in a good SC network around the map and get the first shot in and you'll win.
Sensories need the most teamwork , but are the strongest chambers when paired with the right players. Sensory containment on Nancy is downright evil , focus skulks surprise the first wave of marines entering the Mess Hall , then thoses building the Aux Gen RT. Scanning Mess Hall will only delay the marine squad's death in Mother Interface or Cargo Bay.
