I once entered the vent on cargo hive and saw two marines crawl slowly inside it so i went near them, screamed into my mic "eat my dust!" and gave a full thrust with my jetpack through the vent. i felt so good doin this <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
another case was when i was a HA marine and slowly went with another 2 HA guys in a long corridor. suddely from a door far forward from us, a lerk flew in. we were quite far so he started shooting spikes on us. we started shooting back on him so he got paniced and turned around to fly back. on that point the door closed and he was slammed right into it. 2 seconds later he became a large pile of green goo. that was hilarious.
Guy: Uh... Commander....? Comm: Yea? Talk fast, I'm quite busy. Guy: I need to go to the toilet... Do you get mad if I do....? Comm: Uh.... I guess not. Guy: YAY!
And he was on the toilet for about an hour, he came back 5 minutes b4 we won <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> .

Have you ever seen a bunnyhopping Skulk with Celerity? It's frightening how fast they go. Though tricky, with the reduced distance from the floor.. has to be timed just right. Try it out and practice on a LAN game, if you think it can't be done. Bunnyhop scripts don't work for skulks, again as noted due to the different timing. But bunnyhopping *does*. Remember to turn off wallwalk (hold Crouch) while you're testing, or you may hit something and stick to it accidentally.

You are just being nasty to the newbies. Not everyone has the time nor the will to become a harcore NS fan like we do. Many of those lines put here are common and understandable mistakes. I've tried dozens of Half-Life mods and NS is actually the only one I've read the manual and use up to 5hours per day in the forums. I can imagine how the hardcore desert crisis fans felt when I went there with no information about the mod and started asking stupid things <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

hmm well my silliest moment in ns has occured countless times and heres how it goes... maybe i need glasses but i was struggling to shoot that turret on my cursor cause i couldnt see it well enough before getting shot :/
The stupidest things I hear are people putting down others because they aren't great at the game. Also when people put down beginners when they are asking some questions. Tell them to read the manual and tell them that it explains a lot. If they get stubborn and say no, then they're the idiots and you can commence with whatever you want, but I still say to ignore them and don't feel the trolls.
Really I hate the noob, newbie, nub references whenever someone makes a mistake.

Everything gone fine as aliens. We killed the heavy defended siege outpost in Mess hall with 4 fades, 2 gorges and 2 excellent lerks. Then we had the third hive (noname) cleared and going up. Magines had no bases, just one resource tower, 3 heavy armours, we had almost everything. While we build third hive (noname) and started to rush the main base, marines secret commando took the hive on the other side of the map. Noname finaly gone up. Marines fully upgraded, a few Grenade launchers, no HMG rush because they had just 2 or 3 res (changed soo quickly). But our Fades were soo ****. We had ALL the res and 2 times more fade possibilities than they had HA and GL or HMG. and everyone who knows the game yelled this. "rush fades rush" They had no Jetpacks, jsut a few HA and GL. 4 fades, one or 2 Gorges and 1 or 2 Skulks nonstop atacking last hive. everyone else cleared the rest of the map. We were almost in the door entrance to that tight hive, having so much structures outside. Well, I, as lerk, saw one Fade after another just diing because they ran back into the grenades that were thrown behind them. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> Aaw that hurt. Pussieis. I sayd "another fade bites the dust" 3 times when I saw a dumb fade diing instead of rushing. And so marines took a second hive and we lost with a last hive, tons of res but no more intelligent power. I was on a game recently, and I was the single alien player vs. 4 marines. They seemed to be busy setting up base, so I went gorge and wandered round the map getting res towers up. When you're the only alien player the res accumulates very quickly, and I was soon able to get a second hive up, build some upgrades and go fade. All without seeing a single marine. So I went marine-hunting. When they discovered I was already a fade the protests began "He cheater!" (I think they were Koreans or something) "You got two hives, you hacked! He cheater, he hack!"

At the beginning of another game, chat went like this noob: "Hey, someone change into that flying thing so we can poison them."

I found a gorge in the vent leading to the marine base in ns_caged. He had built a couple of defence chambers in the vent (nothing wrong with that) and had then used them as a ladder to climb up so that he could shoot spit at the marines. This was quite early in the game, so resources were scarce.

Wrong. Have you ever seen a bunnyhopping Skulk with Celerity? It's frightening how fast they go. Though tricky, with the reduced distance from the floor.. has to be timed just right. Try it out and practice on a LAN game, if you think it can't be done. Bunnyhop scripts don't work for skulks, again as noted due to the different timing. But bunnyhopping *does*. Remember to turn off wallwalk (hold Crouch) while you're testing, or you may hit something and stick to it accidentally.

Well, since you didn't really give any details in your post you can't really flame Talesin can you? And if you were bhopping, marine OR alien you were still exploiting the game. Everything gone fine as aliens.
We killed the heavy defended siege outpost in Mess hall with 4 fades, 2 gorges and 2 excellent lerks.
Then we had the third hive (noname) cleared and going up.
Magines had no bases, just one resource tower, 3 heavy armours, we had almost everything.
While we build third hive (noname) and started to rush the main base, marines secret commando took the hive on the other side of the map.
Noname finaly gone up. Marines fully upgraded, a few Grenade launchers, no HMG rush because they had just 2 or 3 res (changed soo quickly).
But our Fades were soo ****.
We had ALL the res and 2 times more fade possibilities than they had HA and GL or HMG. and everyone who knows the game yelled this. "rush fades rush"
They had no Jetpacks, jsut a few HA and GL.
4 fades, one or 2 Gorges and 1 or 2 Skulks nonstop atacking last hive. everyone else cleared the rest of the map.
We were almost in the door entrance to that tight hive, having so much structures outside.
Well, I, as lerk, saw one Fade after another just diing because they ran back into the grenades that were thrown behind them. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> Aaw that hurt.
Pussieis. I sayd "another fade bites the dust" 3 times when I saw a dumb fade diing instead of rushing.
And so marines took a second hive and we lost with a last hive, tons of res but no more intelligent power.
We had just one hive and after this question (see below) i knew why our fades sucked and why we will have no chance to win this match:
