Meh. Since I havn't posted anything in quite some time, I'll post my current work-in-progress that I began yesterday. I'm going for as much of the <i>Aliens</i> look as I possibly can. Notice that it is vastly untextured and unlit - I havn't gotten to details yet <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> Also notice that there is next to no detail in the form of pipes or consoles or whatnot on the walls. I'll just post a steady stream of screens as i continue with the entire map.
<i>And yes, notice that I am running the map in CS right now - I can't be arsed to fiddle with my Worldcraft settings at the moment and change all the configs to NS, because I'm a lazy punk. The first picture is the beginning of a barracks-type area, replete with quarters and lockers. The lighting is nowhere near complete, so I had to brighten it up in Photoshop. Kinda ruins the ambience, however. here it is:

If they are going to be that infested the roof looks a little plain. Put some stuff hanging off of it or mounds of things up top. Maybe flood the bottem with a broken pipe leaking the water in.

The texture you're looking for is embedded into the bsp. Use <a href='ftp://ftp4.extreme-players.de/doenerking/tools/textract.zip' target='_blank'>Textract</a> or something like that to get it out of there <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

i dont think we are allowed to do that.. many mappers dont like that. i would LOVE to use that texture, its a great one, but if the dev team thinks that fans shouldnt be able to make good custom maps.. well, i do my best with what i have
