Well wow. it looks a whole lot Purdier now that I've finally converted my map to NS <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> (for those who didn't know, I've been mapping with the CS.fgd out of sheer laziness. Needless to say, tonight I set the NS.fgd up). I compiled it with a -dscale of 3 and a -bounce of 2(new toys to play with <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->). I've been toying with the idea of raising the dscale. It doesn't look icredibly different - the lighting just meshes slightly better and it's a little darker. I'm thinking of playing around with the gamma. Here's the latest:

Mmmm. New screens of the next part of my map, started this morning (note that it's mostly untextured an misaligned). It's a pumping station, of some sort. And yes, I will all but remove the utter green quality in these pictures - I was much happier with the green content in the hall that I posted yesterday. For this room I've decided that I'm going to start converting to a blue theme with green highlights.
well i dont want to rain on you parade but that doesn’t look like a space station (or ship) at all. A space ship would be very stream line and would not have wavy floors like that or crisscross architecture.
It looks like an underground cavern of some sort "wink wink mineshaft" At first glance i thought those two shots were ns_mineshaft until i noticed the blue lights in the second shot.
Monkey i dont know you from a hole in the ground, but what i have seen from your past work on this forum is top notch (very creative) work. I think you should lose the mineshaft style and come up with something original, and i have a feeling you could do that pretty easily.
just my 2 cents.
PS. the architecture and lighting is beautiful just need to aply it to your own idea.
