Been holding on to this for a while, It has a nice feeling. Although I still think there is something missing, the lighting is rather nice. Blend of colours, there is computers (and some pipes hidden behind the walls not viewable in that picture) and some grates (with pipes underneath). I need that extra something. Any ideas?
I think recessing the center section of the ceiling somewhere around 16-32 units with a bevel on the other two portions where they touch it would be nice. It would also continue the visual pattern you have set up with the wall-ceiling joint. Other than that you may have some grate overkill. When looking at total grating (see through and not) you have two different kinds on the floor, one kind on the ceiling, and if you count the brown/red area near the ceiling as walll you have another grating there too. I think it may be too much, especially with similar looking floor/ceiling textures. (not that such things NEVER happen, but asthetically it's better when they don't) I like the lighting, avoid messing with that as much as possible. Can't really think of anything else that seems helpful.

Thursday - Nice looking room. If I might enter into the ideas realm a bit. I think the room needs one of 2 things. Either busy up the celing with some type of structure/support beams. Or remove the gate and pipes from the floor and replace them with a 3d object like a computer cluster or floor to celing supports. Something to block lines of sight. Even a few crates thrown around might not look too out of place.
Just my thoughts. Still a nice looking room as is.
Thats some really nice work moco, and a lovely use of the yellow wall tex <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
yeah, that is really good. My only suggestion, and it's kind of me being silly about symmetry, is to take the texture you have on your lower floor (that rippled bio something or other) and turn the far one so that the sections point in opposite directions. Or you can just get me some help. Very nice pic though.

On the two firs i don't like the comp_bluestrip texture (put there trim texture or nothing). On the third i like the usage of ladder texture <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> Otherwise magnificient <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

It's not I don't like the WAD, just people are using that as the whole of their maps. I've used quite a bit of NS2 WAD myself. Although I mixed it in with ns.wad in areas. The only thing I see is either a whole NS2WAD area, or no NS2 WAD area. Mix 'n' Match, the only thing that makes NS2 WAD look really good (top notch) when used wholey in an area is the bevelling method. There was a texture thread on it, something along the lines of texture extrapoliation? [EDIT] Mouse: Nice use of the v_wad on the floor. Never found a place for that texture before now. Looking very nice, also if you want an overlay for those NS2 Wad monitors I can give you one.
Thursday, if you'd look carefully you'd notice an ns.wad texture here and there in both rend and my pics. true enough, only one or two textures, but they are there all the same. But think about it. ns.wad textures were MEANT to go together. Likewise, ns2.wad textures were MEANT to go together. So it lends that ns.wad texes and ns2.wad texes will not be used together very frequently, at least untill someone thinks up a scheme that looks good using equal parts of the two wads, and then people procede to imitate that style.
btw, i did resize my pics. they were 1600x1200 <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> but if you need them yet a bit smaller, i shall do so.
There's always the good old xeno.wad .... *hears silence*..... *crickets*...... hey... i like it ok. Those xeno textures are intense. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Well, i finally had an idea, although simple, pop into my head. Now, it kinda looks akward. Ne ideas on how i could connect the walkway to the rock? V girders maybe? Also, ne ideas how to make it not awkward <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->. (ignore the lighting and the end of the walkway)
hmmm... i think ascii art number two (very nice btw. ^_^) has the most possibility. chains underneath it as the supports sounds just too interesting. though the most difficult to impliment. Go for the gold man! take option two! looking good so far, i'm sure you can pull it off.
ah i never would of thought of that <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> gj i like it ty for the help
