<b>Pepe</b>, that is superb. I really don't feel right criticising any of it, but the only part that needs it is the blue monitor under the walkway, doesn't look like its giving out blue light. Apart from that the lighting and detail is excellent, with particle system being worked too. Best Combat mode map I've seen from a visual point of view. Maybe a layout screenshot if you have one?
just out of curiosity is there any reason that you're not in texture view for the screenshot? I've always kind of wondered what view people use when developing, if they texture as they go or whatever. Just curious if that is your normal working view or a "here's the architecture, i'll show you some texturing after I sleep" pic.
Hehe, well It's just so show the arcitecture of the map since texture mode in Hammer will actualy kill your image of how it looks. After I installed Steam, I could not play ns anymore, thats why I havent compiled and run it yet. But I have uninstalled it and are ready to give you a ingame shot soon.
Yay! I should continue on that map. Now I just gotta Draw some more detailed rooms on paper. I found that If I decide where I will put stuff and what stuff I put somewhere I can do decent stuffz.
<b>Aea</b>, looking good. One suggestion with those white lights, cut them up a little. So you have one full light | Part of a wall | one full light | part of a wall etc.
<b>Rendy.[CZech]</b>, I like the use of the NS2.WAD to make the big machine. I feel the walkway in the second pic needs some contrast. Third pic is lovely.
*nod nod* I likes rendy. very original.. ever so slightly Aliens-ish feeling to it. The second and third pics.. meh. I really like the arch, but it is too bright. less white, more saturation in other colors, more dark places. all is groovey.
Hi all, heres two pics of a dropship ive been working on for my map. Its not all that , but , it uses very little ressources. It varies between 25-32 solids and uses 4 textures (128X128, 128X128, 64X128, 64X128) + light textures if there visible. its quite big , 1056 long ,832 wide , 352 high.
