It is looking nice I will agree, although the ceiling texture doesn't do much for me and its a rather plain area. Although I suppose simple is good.

That shot looks really good kawak. The only issue I have is with the light under the steps. What's the use of a light under the steps? It just makes where you are putting your feet harder to see. Nice work otherwise though.

I really wish we could get the ns devs to keep some kind of source repository tied to our usernames. Even if there was some limit of like four or five files it would be nice to have the ability to keep map sources on something that we know is secure. On top of that these files zip up unbelievably well, most of my unfinished maps come under the attached file requirement, and I can't see them getting that much bigger.
Oh well, I guess it's one of those ideas that looks great on paper, but that's about it.
ns_binary update: - halved the face count on the curved surfaces, can't notice much visual difference ingame, also seemed to fix vis errors - stretched the texlight textures underneath the grating to reduce poly count - restructured the outside area to be much smaller (two less curved sections) - added some hint brushes to separate the outside area from the corridors into the surrounding rooms - fixed some faces that i'd left null on (oops)
wpolys have been reduced from avg 900, peak 1200 to avg 600, peak 800 <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
wow samah, that's awesome. i love it! very original.
the first pic though- it would be nice if the support was textured with something that seemed more like it was supposed to be there. it's very generic at the moment. if you used a texture that seemed as though it was designed to be a support or had a less generic look, i think that scene would be better. that diamond texture really isn't that great anyway. awesome walkway though.
same with the second pic, though i fear there is not enough light. where the res node is.. you see how if you go out there is the slightest bit of raised height? well that verticle bit that's maybe only 1 or 2 units high, put a white texture light there and see how it looks. also, on the left, it looks as though the structure just ends... maybe it's supposed to, but it still feels odd.
third pic - looking terrific. i love all the accent lighting. now add some accent lighting on the inside <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Started working on another section of the map (I'm going to leave the tube as it is for a bit). I'd already done most of the following section, but tonight I added the glass, skybox and support beams. Also tweaked the existing texlights on the edge of the computer screen, as well as adding some blue ones on those platforms near the walkway. Will probably increase the intensity of the yellowish lights on the support beams a tad. Samah, why not make a thread for your map? This thread's only really meant for a few screens, and making your own thread would be much better if you're going to post frequent updates.

These are screenies from beta 2f (beta 2 fix) of a "fun" map I'm making. By fun map, that just means that its meant to be fun, sporting gameplay unlike most NS maps. (Its funny to shoot down skulks that are chasing you down on the tram)
heh, kinda nice, but its way to... empty ? add more stuff, haning inefstation (as mentiond above) steam dripping water flying penises across the room you get my point ey ?
