Rofl... make it so you can jump to a vent by going from drawer to drawer
Hi, lemme introduce myself. Although I've seen some familiar ppl here (zazi, thurs, zyndrome n kabelen) many of you certainly dont know me, but I've been mapping for a while now (about 2 years) and started a co_ map some time ago, after being really addicted to NS after the last release. Anyway, the map is set in an industrial complex in some weird planet (need a naem), although the theme is not very original the map does look new IMO. so, I hope you all like it

I liked your area alot! Really original and interesting. Perhaps some cables or other cheap-but-effective details? Just use the area in a way which keeps its interesting level
Minotaur0 Those shots are some seriously good-looking babies! Perhaps you should change the big and white light textures in the second shot against some... custom made or something? Would spice it up alot in my opinion. Your shadows are really exciting and it doesn't look like it's the Half-Life-engine you're mapping for in some places.
samejima Yes, I both agree and don't agree with you. I think there should be something more, maybe in the roof, because it looks kinda linear now except for the extremely good-looking ice-core thing.
However, by not putting more details into the area, the ice-core thing will be more focused on.
[edit] yes i realise it looks like a morgue >_>

Wow, that's really cool. Don't know if I think flr_diamond looks very good as a ceiling-texture though. I'd suggest you replace it with something else, and maybe add a little-little more color variation in the lighting. The detail on those "things" on the second picture is pure genious.

Over to the more serious part. Your stuff looks good. Some things could be changed as something doesn't feel too right, but unfortunately I don't know what. Keep the style going and make the rooms close to hive(when you get that far) a bit crushed, that will add a nice feel to the map. I also really like the corridor with the blue lighting and the fan shadows.

Theres an additive texture (black backgrnd) in the wad, dont remember if its ns.wad or ns2.wad
Oooo sexy. i have only one problem with it, and that is the wall textures don't .. they don't look like they were supposed to go together. it's fairly obvious they're different textures. cover it up with a trim brush. very minor criticism though. awesome hallway. love the pipes. and the red.
