Monkey there’s this new thing called edit button so you don't have to post 2 replies every time. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Ontopic-

I can't really say much about the fade class because I only used it once but the teammates I play with die a lot. And if I’m on marines they don't even stand a chance.

Maybe increase the damage and/or health, decrease the energy cost of attacking or lower the amount of resources required to evolve into a fade.

Really hope to see some more fades in 2.0 instead of a 100% ono team.

Imo the problem with Fade is that it's difficult to hit the marine once you get close. So I'd appreciate it a lot if devs would make it a tad more newbie/unskilled player friendly and make that swipe hit-sector larger.

Ok, first off, monkey, you're full of it. The fade should not be the uber nub unit of death that it was in 1.4. The fact is, it is MUCH easier for aliens to get upgrades than marines. So its likely that by the time that marines get lvl3 upgrades, (if they ever do) the game will be heavily in favor of the aliens. Fades really are more like...MAX's in planetside, if you've played it. They're there to take a ton of hits, drawing fire while smaller units take out the marines. And yes, hit and run tactics do work very well as a fade. Also, you're wrong about nubs always going marine. ppl go marine b/c it is generally more fun to run around with a gun shooting than hiding in the dark like a **** waiting to strike. A fade should NOT be able to dominate 3 lvl3 marines, run off and heal, then repeat. It should be what it is, more of a support unit. Aliens should have to work as a team too, not rambo like they usually do and still win.

Yeh, fades are less powerful and less HP, but atleast now when marines see a fade its like, 2 hives, fade, we lose.

You need to get used to them being less poweful, and WORK AS A TEAM to win.

I always hear people saying "fades and onos suck omg!11" they dont, you need to get used to them being less of a pure killing unstoppable alien.

In 1.04 i only ever saw about 3 onos die, now ive knifed 3 <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo--> and seen many many more die.

NS = Much more team game now. wp.

I don't belive that marines were doomed in 1.04 when fades showed up. Fades meant that Marines had lost the iniative, and it at best were now even, and at worst were at a disadvantage. It was easy to get a 2nd hive up in 1.04, if Fades were so terrifying then Aliens would of won most games. Ok there was that thing about Clanners winning most games as aliens, but I'm not sure how accurate that was. If it happened, it HAD to be for more reasons than a powerful fade.

First, I was going to nuke every flame in here, then I realized that it would be just too much work.

I'm <span style='color:red'>***locking***</span> this. Take a deep breath, chill, then start over and for a change read what the people posting before you wrote.
