This one is a great example of why I'd really like to know the easiest way to get the crosshair out of the way. I tried to blur it out a little and smudge it... but I stopped at the skulk not wanting to deformate the picture too much...
Also, up to what point is photoshoping allowed? I guess it's ok to use it to take out the HUD... but in this one, I have to admit I made the pic rotate 15% to the left to give it a more "action" feeling. If this is a nono, tell me... I'll post the other one (un-tilded crop).
Ok this really is the last one for today. I found it too good to let it pass up. At first my intention was to be able to pic a firefight... but after a long time of waiting, I settled for the picture with the skulk in it.
I like picture number A the best. You can't see where the bullets are hitting (crop out the edge of the spark so its complete), so it gives the feeling, where the target is unknown.
<b>"Speculation is that the gun-like growths on Fade's shoulders are actually symbiotic organisms, that the Fades joined forces with long ago. These growths distill stomach acid into a more powerful form, which is launched in loose spheres that splash open on impact. The damage and splash of this attack make it a highly feared and very dangerous weapon."</b>
I like the angle on this shot; I'm not sure, but I think I got it while being smacked around by a Fade. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I can't come up with a good title for this one; it seems as if an Onos just off camera has crushed this Marines team mate. The other Marine looks frightened at the Onos' display of savagery.
Hopefully that will make taking pictures easier; removes crosshair and the v_weapon model. Try out what cl_usr does too, it *might* be helpful. And I do believe that cl_drawhud is only a leaked-HL2 command, but you could try also.

r_drawviewmodel won't work on them anymore, the dev team changed this in order to keep the weapon visible so some people using r_drawviewmodel won't have an edge on the ones who don't or don't even know about it (well thats the only reason I can think of)
And r_drawviewentiy 0 (or something, check steam console ) cannot be used since you wont see any ingame entities not even player models <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I think that in celebration of the return of NS_BAST, I'm going to be taking photos from that map. I have one here that was taken deep inside the ship in the darkness. I like this one.
Yeah, the angle of that pic with the fade all the way to the left, forced to flee into an explosion, leaving behind a solitary lmg from some unlucky marine...very nice <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::fade::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/fade.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='fade.gif' /><!--endemo--> run fade run!
Look back in this thread for the toolkit. It removes all the HUD icons for MUCH better picture-taking. It's a really neat tool.
Great pictures, guys. What is everyone's favorite kharaa species to photograph? Mine is the Fade. I think the fade's animations make a lot of pictures look raelly good, plus, its a scary looking one.

NS version 1.
First encounter with the Onos. I had lots of pics of it and I didnt want to post 12 pics so I had to get creative lol.
All the marines were so in awe we didnt even try to shoot at the Onos. Only the sentry turrets fired. ^_^
Meanwhile the HA who had just opened the door was like OMG OMG AHHHHH HELP ME!!!.
And the rest of us were just like, WOW DUDE thats awsome!! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Made with CTX photo-kit.

More to come...
I imagine it like this...
[ONOS] [ONOS] [ONOS] [ONOS] [ONOS] [ONOS]
[FADE] [FADE] [FADE] [FADE] [FADE]
[LERK] {CROSSHAIR}-----+ [LERK]
[GORGE] [GORGE] [GORGE] [GORGE]
[SKULK-SKULK-SKULK-SKULK-SKULK-SKULK-SKULK-SKULK-SKULK-SKULK-SKULK]
EDIT:aah it didn't come out as I wanted!
-----idea------
one marine in the room....
sound goes off -
your mission is to find all alien life forms and destroy them at all costs.
the marine replys.
commander says, heres a sweeper, test to see if it works...
he uses it, and BAM, 50 skulks uncloak, and the lights go out ^_^
what cha think? anyone wanna do it?

Apocalypsecow, your pic has HUD icons that you could easily remove. Please do so.
